SECOND READING:
Romans 5: 1 2, 5 8

From the letter of Paul to the Romans

Now that we have been justified by faith, we are at
peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through
him we have gained access by faith to the grace in
which we now stand, and we boast of our hope for the
glory of God. And this hope will not leave us
disappointed, because the love of God has been poured
out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been
given to us. At the appointed time, when we were still
powerless, Christ died for us godless men. It is rare that
anyone should lay down his life for a just man, though it
is barely possible that for a good man someone may
have the courage to die. It is precisely in this that God
proves his love for us: that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
The Word of the Lord.
All: Thanks be to God.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION : Alleluia

GOSPEL:
John 15:18-21, 26-27

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to John

Jesus said to his disciples:
If you find that the world hates you, know it has
hated me before you. If you belonged to the world, it
would love you as its own; the reason it hates you is
that you do not belong to the world. But I chose you out
of the world.
Remember what I told you: no slave is
greater than his master. They will harry you as they
harried me. They will respect your words as much as
they respected mine. All this they will do to you
because of my name, for they know nothing of him who
sent me. When the Paraclete comes, the Spirit of truth
who comes from the Father and whom I myself will send
from the Father he will bear witness on my behalf. You
must bear witness as well, for you have been with me
from the beginning.

Priest: Lord, you are holy indeed, the fountain of the holiness.
Let your spirit come upon these gifts to make them holy so that
they may come for us the
body and blood of our Lord Jesus
Christ. Before he was given up to death, a death he freely
accepted, He took bread and gave you thanks. He broke the bread
and gave it to his disciples and said:
TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU AND EAT IT,
THIS MY BODY WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.
When supper was ended, He took the cup. Again he gave you
thanks and praise, give the cup to his disciples, and said:
TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU AND DRINK FROMK IT.
THIS IS THE CUP OF MY BLOOD,
THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND EVERLASTING COVENANT IT
WILL BE SHARED FOR YOU AND FOR ALL SO THAT SINS
MAY BE FORGIVEN.
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.
Priest: The mystery of faith.

All: We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and profess your Resurrection until
you come again.
He takes the chalice and the paten with the host and, raising both, he says:

Priest: In memory of this death and resurrection we offer you, Father

this life given bread, the saving cup. We thank you for counting us
worthy to stand in your presence and serve you. May all of us who
share in the body and blood of Christ be brought together in the
unity by the Holy Spirit Lord, remember your church throughout
the world, make us grow in love together with Francis, our Pope,
Juan and Zacharias, our bishops and all the clergy. Remember our
brothers and sisters who have gone to their rest in the hope of
rising again, bring them and all the departed be the light of your

COMMUNION RITE
Priest: At the Saviors command and formed by divine teaching, we dare
to say:
All : Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom
come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil.
Priest : Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace
in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free
from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and
the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
All : For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever.

SIGN OF PEACE
Priest : Lord, Jesus Christ, you said to your Apostles:
I LEAVE YOU PEACE, MY PEACE I GIVE YOU. LOOK NOT ON
OUR SINS, BUT ON THE FAITH OF YOUR CHURCH, AND
GRANT US PEACE AND UNITY OF YOUR KINGDOM WHERE
YOU LIVE FOREVER AND EVER.

All : Amen.
The Priest, turned towards the people, extending and then joining his hands, adds:

Priest : The peace of the Lord be with you always.

All : And with your spirit.
Then, if appropriate, the Deacon, or the Priest, adds:

Priest : Let us offer each other the sign of peace.

LAMB OF GOD
Then he takes the host, breaks it over the paten, and places a small piece in the chalice, saying quietly:

Priest : May this mingling of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ
bring eternal life to us who receive it.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Comentator:

Please kneel down.

The Priest genuflects, takes the host and, holding it slightly raised above the paten or above the chalice, while facing
the people, says aloud:

Priest : Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of
the world.
Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
And together with the people he adds once:

All : Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only
say the word
and my soul shall be healed.

PEOPLE FROM THE POWER OF SIN AND IN YOUR LOVE RENEW
THEIR STRENGHT. HELP US GROW CONSTANTLY IN THE HOME OF
