Items needed

1 Gold Candle-represents the God

1 Silver Candle-represents the Goddess

1 Green Candle-represents fire and agriculture

Simple Rose powder Incense-represents air (Recipe below)

Bowl of Water-represents water

Small amount of salt-represents earth

Wand

Cakes & Ale (your choice)

Recipes

Simple Rose powder Incense

2 parts Rose petals-for Ostara

1. Grind into a fine powder with a mortar and pedestal.


2. Sprinkle on a charcoal disc in a fire proof bowl.
Pre Ritual Instructions (anything that needs to be done before doing the ritual, if a ritual
bath is recommended, or a specific ritual meal, any tools that need to be created before the
ritual)

Ritual Bath is to be done before this ritual.

Items Needed

Bath Sachet

Honeysuckle

Iris

Violet

Directions

Put all ingredients into bath sachet and tie tightly. Place in running water.

Circle Casting

Holding your wand out in front up and starting in the east and moving clockwise direction to
the south see a yellow light going around you in a circle as you move on to the west and
north and at each corner stop and say:

“As I cast this circle around,

Bring in spring in a bound.”

Repeat above two more times and with each turn see your yellow light getting brighter, then
say:

“This circle is cast and I am welcoming Spring.”

Corner Calling

East Light incense and say:

“Watchtowers of the east, element of air, Hail and Welcome!”


South Light Green Candle and say:

“Watchtowers of the south, element of fire, Hail and Welcome!”

West Hold up your bowl of water

“Watchtowers of the west, element of water, Hail and Welcome!”

North Hold up your salt and say:

“Watchtowers of the north, element of earth, Hail and Welcome!”

Invocation Light Gold and Silver candles and say:

“May the Green Man and Persephone please join me on this night to welcome spring to
my home. Hail and Welcome!”

Ritual work

Items Needed

Salt

Water

Wash Cloth

Mix salt and water together and then dampen wash cloth. Wash your face, neck, hands, arms,
etc. all the way down to your feet. Say:

“As I wash my (body part) I am purifying myself for spring. I am cleaning my soul,
body, and mind.”
Cakes and Ale

Take up cakes and ale and make a toast by saying:

“I toast to you the God Green Man and Goddess Persephone to your honor.”

Eat your cake and drink your ale.

Energy Requests

Thanks to the Deity

Snuff or blow out the silver and gold candles and say:

“Thank you so much God and Goddess for being here with me tonight, Hail and
Farewell!”

Releasing the Corners

North

Turn to the north and say:

“Watchtowers of the north, element of earth, thank you for being here with me tonight,
Hail and Farewell!”

West

Turn to the west and say:

“Watchtowers of the west, element of water, thank you for being here with me tonight,
Hail and Farewell!”

South

Snuff or blow out your green candle and say:


“Watchtowers of the south, element of fire, thank you for being here with me tonight,
Hail and Farewell!”

East

Turn to the east and say:

“Watchtowers of the east, element of air, thank you for being here with me tonight, Hail
and Farewell!”

Opening the Circle

Going reverse now, hold your wand in you hand in front of you and starting in the north now
and going counter clockwise, go into a circle direction toward the west, see your yellow light
growing dimmer and say:

“This circle is opening now.”

Repeat above phrase in the south and east. Repeat two more times and on each turn to the
east visualize your yellow light getting dimmer. On the third turn to the east see your light go
out and say:

“The circle is open. So Mote It Be!”

Ritual Ending

“Merry we meet, merry we part,

Merry we meet again.”


Post Ritual Instructions (This is usually disposal information, anything that you may want
to do with the things you have created, such as charms or blessed items.)

Take wax, ashes, water an salt and bury in the ground as an offering and a way to welcome spring.
