My hobbies are trekking, following stock market and listening to music. I like to explore new places. By following stocks I get an
idea of the companies their basic business and it has also helped me to develop business acumen. Now I know value of an ethical
management and competitive strategies. The company has to keep evolving with the market changes. I have taken part in various
community service activities like teaching students, organizing function to raise funds for a NGO and health camps.

Please share with us the setting and the environment in which your formative years have been spent including something about
your neighbourhood, friends, family etc.
My initial years were spent in a very beautiful village Sungal. In this village people believe in simple living and high thinking. My
father is a retired army professional and mother is a housewife. My father always motivates me to work hard towards my dreams.
I was lucky to have an upbringing where family values and ethics were of prime importance. A big thanks goes to my teachers who
helped me to learn and always encouraged me to prepare for competitive exams. It was the result of their guidance and support
that I was able to crack one of the toughest exams. In the school and college, I met people with different perspectives and
backgrounds. My friends have helped me in this pursuit of improving myself with each passing day. I got an opportunity to hone
my leadership and teamwork skills by participating in various extra-curricular activities.

There are certain incidents / events, contributions, achievement of some kind or even a family detail which we are proud of,
which we carry in our souls as a badge of honour. Describe something that you are proud of
The NSS team of IIT Roorkee used to go to slums to teach the poor children who studied in nearby government school where
standard of education was extremely dismal. The students did not study at their homes too as there was no one guiding them.
Their parents, being themselves illiterate, cant teach them and did not even forced them as they thought they would not study
much and end up in same kind of jobs as theirs. When we started teaching, we found that some children were quite intelligent
and fast at learning and grasping concepts. We thought of providing some better solution for their education as we used to go for
only 3 4 days a week due to our own studies and that too for an hour. Also, we realized that as they will get into higher
standards, this much time was very less to teach them all subjects. Then, I came up with the idea of preparing them for entrance
exam of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) where education is free of cost and is of high standards and also, childrens parents
do not need to worry about their expenses. The idea of mine was to implement the Super-30 model.
So, we started this with eight 4th standard students and taught them to prepare well for the JNV Selection Test and our vision for
them finally became a reality with five of them getting selected. Our dean praised our efforts. I learnt from this initiative that if
proper opportunity is provided every person can succeed in this world.
At the end of our lives, we would want certain aspects of our work, achievement, character, disposition etc to stand out and be
talked about in glowing terms.What would you want the salient features of your life to read like ? What is your Statement of
Purpose ?
The journey towards making it to this premier college started from a small village school. I had a belief that with hard work and
persistence one can overcome any hurdle that comes in your path. One of the major achievements in the school was being a state
topper in the Mathematics in tenth class. Despite all odds my confidence and self-motivation helped me to appear successfully in
the toughest exam called IITJEE. When I made it to IIT it opened the doors towards plethora of opportunities. During my stay at
IIT, I honed my teamwork, leadership skills by taking part in extra-curricular activities.
It gave me a chance to interact with brightest minds of the country and people who had diverse perspectives.
Tata Steel offers opportunities across various HR functions which
provides an opportunity to nurture and create world class professionals. It is my dream to make a workplace better place than
home as most of the employees spend most time working than doing anything else in their whole lifetime. During my five stints at
various companies, I have delivered end to end projects in various HR functions. My self-motivation, integrity and zeal towards
