[5]. Surah Al-Ma'idah [The Table Spread With Food]

Ayat 60. Say (to the people of the Scripture): "Shall I inform you of something
worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allah: those (Jews) who incurred
the Curse of Allah and His Wrath, those of whom (some) He transformed into monke
ys and swines, those who worshipped Taghut (false deities); such are worse in ra
nk (on the Day of Resurrection in the Hell fire), and far more astray from the
Right Path (in the life of this world)."
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah
[S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H) said, "He who loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him;
and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah abhors to meet him.'' I (`Aishah) said
: "O Messenger of Allah [S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H) ! So far as the feelings of aversio
n against death is concerned, we all have this feeling.'' Thereupon he said, "I
do not mean that. What I meant is that when a (true) believer is given the glad
tidings of the Mercy of Allah, His Pleasures and His Jannah (at the time of deat
h), he loves to meet Allah, and Allah also loves to meet him. When a disbeliever
is given the news of the Torment of Allah and His Wrath (at the time of death),
he dislikes to meet Allah and Allah also abhors to meet him.''

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Ma'idah Ayat 60. those who worshipped Ta
ghut (false deities); such are worse in rank (on the Day of Resurrection in the
Hell fire), and far more astray from the Right Path (in the life of this world
)." The bad news of punishment are given to the disbelievers at the time of deat
h & on the Day of Resurrection, and glad tidings of Jannah are given to the beli
evers and So a believer starts longing to meet Allah as a result of the good new
s he receives at that time, and the disbeliever begins to wish that he may not d
ie and, therefore, avoid Allah's punishment as a result of the bad news he recei
ves at that time.
