USGBC NAMES WILLIAM AMANN 2015 LEED FELLOW
President of M&E Engineers, William Amann, Honored by U.S. Green Building
Council
NEW YORK, NY October 20, 2015 M&E Engineers announces that William
Amann, President of M&E Engineers, has been named a 2015 LEED Fellow by
(GBCI) Green Business Certification Inc. The organization administers project
certification and professional credentials as part of the U.S. Green Building
Council. LEED Fellow is the most prestigious designation for the recognition
of significant achievement in the green building, energy efficiency, and
sustainability community. This year, only 35 professionals globally were so
honored for their outstanding work as LEED Professionals.
William Amann is a remarkable individual who has long been a leader in the
green building movement, said Rick Fedrizzi, CEO, GBCI and CEO Founding
Chair, US Green Building Council. His expertise and excitement motivates
all of us to continue to look ahead to whats next and to continue the
innovation that has been the hallmark of our movement. Sharing his passion,
knowledge, and commitment, William Amann anchors both the past and the
future of our movement.
To be selected, LEED Fellows are nominated by their peers, undergo an
extensive portfolio review, must have at least 10 years of experience in the
green building industry, and hold a LEED AP with specialty credential, among
other requirements. The evaluation process is carried out by the LEED Fellow
evaluation committee and supported by the GBCI and the US Green Building
Council.

Amann. I look forward to continuing my lifes work, which for over thirty years has
been to not only create resilient, sustainable, high performance buildings, but to
continue to change the conversation and inspire more people to embrace energy
efficiency and the principals of LEED.

William Amann, PE, LEED Fellow, DCEP has been the President of M&E
Engineers for over thirty years. In that time he has built the firm into one of
the most recognized specialist, green engineering firms in the Mid-Atlantic
region. The firms portfolio of Fortune 100 and government projects is a
testament to his dedication to and promotion of innovative, sustainable,
resilient, and energy efficient building solutions. A prolific speaker and
educator, Bill is also former Chairman of the New Jersey chapter of the US
Green Building Council, is a sponsoring member of Urban Green, the New
York branch of the USGBC and is the current Chairman of the Somerset
County Energy Council.
William Amann and the other 34 2015 LEED Fellows will be recognized in
Washington, DC at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, which
is being held Nov.18-20, 2015.
