TEB The company focuses on clean energy, they supply engines which run on

alternate sources of energy (not Diesel, Oil, but do you offer engines that run
on diesel ?) such as:

Total Energy Business (TEB) is an ESCO Company (Energy Services Company) and it
is Authorized Distributor, Sales Representative and Service Provider for GE
Jenbacher GmbH & Co OHG for its gas engine based product line used in the power
generation segment in the territory of Romania;
Due the energy efficiency projects designed and implemented for various clients,
TEB ensures lower energy costs, so that the savings achieved should cover finally
the costs of projects financing;
Also TEB at the moment is focused on clean energy- biogas projects BOOT type
Utilization of biogas generated from agricultural waste
1 cow 1.3 Nm3 biogas daily
5 pigs 1.5 Nm3 biogas daily
300 chickens 2.0 Nm3 biogas daily
Other organic waste may increase the biogas production
BOOT project means:

This solution applies to partners who dont have provided financing for
the project, but have availability for business type BOOT
TEB realized and fully financed the project
The fuel is provided by Customer or by TEB
TEB delivers the power into National Grid (SEN) and/or to the
Customer at a competitive price
The thermal energy is sold to the Customer at a lower price than
obtained by him in case of own resources
At the end of the contract the Customer will become equipment owner
TEB will provide equipment maintenance, as equipment owner
As TEB is the investor, customer will provide guarantees on contract
period in order to acquire a minimum annual amount of thermal energy
in the form of hot water and/or saturated steam

Natural gas ( Isnt it expensive? Almost like using diesel ?) The

engines manufactured by GE Jenbacher are running only on gas fuel.
The price of natural gas is countered with energy production in
cogeneration with GE Jenbacher engines:
In cogeneration process the heat usage is the key to success
Hot-tap water (usually 90C)
Heating of halls, housings, office spaces

Generation of hot-tap water

Industrial processes (various temperature levels)
Higher temperatures (120C)
Trigeneration :production of power, heat and cold
Saturated Steam up to 12 bar
Industrial processes

Associate Petroleum gas (New technology, cheaper, less hassle with

transport )
Sewage gas
Biogas

Coal mine gas

What can these engines be used for? From what I can see they can be used
for power generation for a variety of industries or situations. Starting with
a food factory and up to petrol extraction places
They can also be used to produce thermal energy.
Projects targeted to municipalities
a. Heat supply to households and electricity generation :
Effects:
-Reduction in production costs
-Reduction of transport losses
-Reduction of polluting emissions carbon credits
Possibility to draw financing through dedicated programs
b. Biogas usage
-Municipality/household waste deposits
-Municipality waste water treatment plants
-Production of green certificates, carbon credits

Projects targeted to industrial customers

-Food, pharmaceutical, construction materials, textile, machine, chemical, and other
industries
-Utilization of fuel gas resulted from technological processes: metallurgy,
petrochemical industry, and crude oil extraction (flare gas applications)
-Heat and power supply to housing complexes or office spaces
-Utilization of biogas resulted from agricultural operations
-Greenhouses fertilization through extraction of CO2 from the exhaust gas

Advantages of Flare Gas engines

Quick and good source of energy in remote places. But they must have
access to APG (Flare Gas, Associated Petroleum Gas)
You save diesel consumption less to pay
Diesel Engines can be used for backup: can be a solution for case to case if
for customer is important to get power 7/24 or for island operation (without
connection to the national Grid)
The engines are containerized:for most applications-> the can be moved
easily from one site to another and also another advantage is the shortest
time for project implementation
On oil exploitation diesel engines are being used -- Does this mean they
can use APG ENGINES instead ?Yes, because together with the oil
the gases will arise from the earth.
Another reasons for why these gas engines is used in this
application are environmental reason and also alternatively source
of power for local site. All these places are, in general, isolated
ones.
Easy to move due to the container
Annual savings if you use the FLARE GAS engine are 374.000 $ (Keep
in mind price of diesel is going up, figures are from 2009-2010 so it
might be saving even more now) (How about the selling price of the
product? Is it more expensive than a Diesel Engine? If it is could it be
more advantageous to just buy a diesel engine?
We dont have information for Diesel engine price, but I think the
prices are not very far from gas engine, in less direction I mean. In
this topic I cant say too much.
For this application the flare gas is free of charge, but the gas
quality shall be treated with carefully.
The engines can be installed in all climate conditions etc; Yes, from
North Pole to desert areas.
Revision and technical problems are taken care by TEB ? Guarantee
for 10-20 years ?
Yes, TEB is authorized service provider in Romania for these engines
and by signing a maintenance contract, TEB guarantee can be up to
20 years
Why GE Jenbacher engines?
High electric and overall efficiency : up to 88- 90% (90% for
greenhouse application where the exhaust gases are cleaned and
used for plants fertilization)
Higher reliability and availability
General overhaul after 60.000 operating hours (7- 8 years) : this
cycle can be repeat twice.
