Objectives

1. Listen and number the fruits based on teachers description of the fruits.
2. Work with a friend by asking simple questions and response to the questions.
3. Act and make fruit salad based on listening to the instructions from the teacher.

Activities

Set Induction (5 mins) Sing Fruits Family song


1. Teacher asks pupils to sing the song entitle Fruits Family song.
2. Teacher sing the song with corrects intonation and pupils follow the teacher.
3. Teacher show the action of the song.
4. Pupils follow to do the action while singing.
Eg: Fruits family up,
Open coconut x4,
Squeeze an orange,
Squeeze squeeze an orange,
Peel banana,
Peel peel banana.
Presentation (10 mins) Listen and Number
1. Teacher distributes a worksheet to each pupil.
2. Teacher asks the pupils to listen to to her description of the fruits.
3. Pupils number the fruits based on the teachers description of the fruits.
Eg: Fruit number one is big and round.
Practice (15 mins) Listen and Say
1. Teacher asks pupils to work with a friend.
2. Pupils work with a friend by asking and answering simple Wh-questions.
Eg: pupil 1: What is your favourite fruit, Zarif?
Pupil 2: My favourite fruit is the mango.

Pupil 1: Why do you like to eat mangoes?


Pupil 2: They are sweet.
Production (15 mins)- Making Fruit Salad
1. Teacher show how to make na fruit salad.
Eg: 1) Wash the fruits.
2) Cut the fruits into small pieces.
3) Put them into a big bowl
2. Pupils act as they repeat the instructions after the teacher.
3. Pupils make their own fruit salad in groups.
4. Pupils present on how to make a fruit salad in front of the classroom.
Closure (5 mins)- Moral Value
1. Teacher sums up the lesson that take place today.
2. Teacher instills moral value and asks pupils to eat fruits to stay healthy.
Eg: An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
3. Teacher asks pupils to sing along the Family Fruit song as a whole class with action.
