table in the Welcome Center. The cost per arrangement is

Welcome Center. Thanks!

TRUNK OR TREAT
Join us October 31st from
6-8 pm at Brookshire Brothers
parking Lot on Franz Road for
Trunk or Treat. We need
volunteers to come park their
cars on the side by Walgreens
starting at 5:45. Then you set out some lawn chairs open
your trunks and hand out treats to the local kids. We also
bring a few carnival style games like the fishing booth and
lollipop tree and spider ring toss with us that we could use
some help manning. It is a fun way to share the light of
Jesus with our community. It is located near one of our
trailer parks as well and
every year those kids and
families really appreciate
having a safe place to
trick or treat.
Our
preschool families also
enjoy it so it is a great
chance to continue to
deepen the relationships
and presence we have in our community. The church will
have some prizes and candy already thanks to Rice
Harvest but you are invited and encouraged to bring your
own treats and or carnival games for in front of your car
as well. Contact April Ramsey to sign up or if you have
questions.

FEFORMATION CELEBRATION WORSHIP

Who was this

Martin Luther?
What are the
95 theses?
Where did
Lutheran
theology
originate?
Where and
why did he state Here I stand. I can do no other.? What
impact did the Reformation have on people of his time
that continues yet today? What does it mean to be a
Lutheran , especially in todays society?
Find out answers to these questions when Memorial
Lutheran Church in Katy joins with Christians around the
world to celebrate and remember The Reformation on
Sunday, October 25th. Our guest preacher will be
Rev. Ken Chitwood.

BLOOD DRIVE
Where does time
go?? Its true another quarter
has passed and
we will be having
our last blood
drive for this year
on Tuesday 11/3/15 from 3:00 to 7:30 pm in the
Loomis Center. Let's end the year with a fantastic turnout of new as well as our dedicated donors. The sign-up
sheet is on the table in the Welcome Center......with
former donors receiving calls from Joan.
We can help
others, as well as enjoy fellowship, cookies and juice in
the kitchen after you donate or attempt to donate.
COMFORT
DOG UPDATE
Exciting news!
Through
the
generosity of our members, we are officially moving
ahead with placement of our very own comfort dog. Stacy
Bretting, who will be our Top Dog (main coordinator) and
Carolyn Meyer, who will house and handle our dog, will
soon head to the Chicago area for initial training. We
have been very blessed in raising the initial cost of $6,000
to secure our dog and your continued support of this
Signature Mission as we move forward will enable us to
provide this very special caring ministry to many, not only
here in Katy, but around Texas. Thank you!!
