Data Flow in PRS

1. Querying NE (BSC/RNC/Node B or others) sends raw stat. files to
M2000 after they prepared.
2. M2000 organizes raw stat. files.
3. PRS fetches raw stat. files on schedule.
4. PRS parses raw stat. files, saves data in database, and
aggregates data.

Overview

Object group is a set which includes several objects with the

same type. For example, if you need to focus on the
performance in one area, you can add the cells in the area into
one object group and analyze the performance of the object
group.

Types of KPI

Two types of KPI (key performance indicator) in PRS:

System KPI

System KPI is predefined by PRS.

Customized KPI

Customized KPI is defined based on system KPI or other

customized KPI.

Page40

Customized Conditional KPI

Conditional KPI refer to a KPI whose formula contains

statistical functions such as sum, max, min, avg, and count.

Conditional KPIs support the following types of calculations:

Conditional calculation

The results of conditional calculations are Boolean values. The

following operators can be defined to return Boolean values: and
(&&), or (||), smaller than (<), smaller than or equal to (<=),
greater than (>), greater than or equal to (>=), equal to (=), and
not equal to (!=).

Aggregation calculation

The aggregation calculation is applicable to the aggregation of a

specified object type by object of the base dimension.

Aggregation Calculation

The aggregation calculation is applicable to the

aggregation of a specified object type by object of the
base dimension.

The aggregation calculation supports the following types

of statistical functions:

sum (expression)

max (expression)

min (expression)

avg (expression)

count (expression for conditional calculation)

An Example of Aggregation Calculation

If the specified object type is GBSC, and the object of the

base dimension is GCell, the formula of the conditional
KPI for calculating the proportion of worst cells is as
follows:

count([R3550N:Traffic Volume on Signaling Channels

(TCH)]>=0.6&&[ZTR304:Call Drop Ratio on TCH per
cell(including Handover)]>=3&&[K3041:TCH Congestion
