IMPORTANTNOTEFORCANDIDATESDESIROUSTOAPPLYFORMORETHANONEEXAMINATION:
Instituteisconductingcertainexaminationssimultaneouslyonthesameday.Candidatesare,therefore,requestedtoseethetimetablecarefullyandapplyforonly
oneexaminationscheduledtobeconductedonadategiveninthetimetable.NoRefundofexaminationfeeswillbegivenincaseifanycandidateappliesformore
thanoneexaminationandnotabletoappearforthesameduetotheschedulebeingsame.

TheInstitutehasdevelopedacoursewaretocoverthesyllabus.Candidatesareadvisedtomakefulluseofthecoursewareandalsotheupdates
putontheIIBFwebsitefromtimetotime.However,asbankingandfinancefieldsaredynamic,rulesandregulationswitnessrapidchanges.
Hence,candidatesshouldkeepthemselvesupdatedonlatestdevelopmentsbygoingthroughMasterCircularsissuedbyRBI,visitingthe
websitesoforganizationslikeRBI,SEBI,BISetc.
EXAMINATIONCENTRES:
(i)Candidatesshouldappearfortheexaminationonlyatthecentrewheretheyareworkingprovidedthereisanexaminationcentreatsuchplaceandifthereisno
examinationcentre,theyshouldappearatthenearestexaminationcentre.Resultofcandidateviolatingthisruleorgivingwronginformationisliableforcancellation.
(ii)Candidateswillhavetoappearatthecentrewhichtheychoosewhileapplyingfortheexaminationfirsttimeandforthesubsequentexaminationsalso.Thevenue
fortheexaminationwillbeadvisedwhileissuingtheexaminationadmitletter.
(iii)RequestforchangeincentreduetotransferoranyothervalidreasonshouldreachtheInstitute45daysbeforethecommencementoftheexamination.Any
requestreceivedthereafterwillnotbeentertained.
(iv)Nochangeofcentrerequestwillbeacceptedforpersonalreasons.Alltherequestsincaseofchangeofcentreduetotransfer,traininganddeputationetc.should
beaccompaniedbyemployer'sauthentication.
TheInstitutereservestherighttocloseanyoftheexistingcentre/sonaccountoflessnumberofcandidatesappearingfromthatcentreorany
otherreasonwhichitmaythinkfit.Insuchcase,candidatewillbeadvisedtoappearattheexaminationfromthenearestavailablecentre.

MODEOFEXAMINATION:
InstitutewillconductitsJAIIBexaminationinOnlinemodeonly.
Intheabsenceofaclearindicationaboutthemediumoptedbythecandidate,Englishwillbepresumedasthemedium.
Candidates,whohaveexhaustedthefirstblockoftwoattempts,shouldnecessarilyapplyfortheexaminationthroughonlineimmediatelyforthe
secondblockoftwoattempts,withoutanygap.Iftheydonotapplyimmediatelyafterexhaustingthefirstblock,theexamination/sconducted
willbecountedasattempt/softhesecondblockforthepurposeoftimelimitforpassingasprescribedintherulesoftheexamination.
Candidatesarerequiredtoapplyfortheexaminationthroughonlinebeforethelastdateofreceiptofexaminationapplicationmentionedinthetimetableof
theExamination.Applicationwillnotbeacceptedafterthelastdateandnoprovisionforacceptingthesamewithlatefee.
ForVisuallyimpaired&OrthopedicallyChallengedcandidates,forusingScribeattheexaminationsoftheInstitute,refertheRules/Guidelinesavailableontheweb

ADMITLETTER(HallTicket):
i)WitheffectfromMay/June2014ExaminationstheInstitutewillNOTbesendingtheAdmitLetter(hardcopy)throughpost,butthesame
containingVenuedetails,PassWordetc.willbesenttocandidatesthroughemail.TheExaminationAdmitLetterswillalsobeavailableonthe
Instituteswebsitewww.iibf.org.infordownloadONEweekbeforethecommencementoftheexamination.
ii)SincetheInstitutewillnotbesendingtheAdmitLetter(hardcopy)throughpost,CorrectEmailaddressismandatoryforreceiptofAdmit
Letter/HallTicketthroughemail.
iii)PermanentMembershipIdentityCardisissuedbytheZonalOfficeatthetimeofadmissionasamemberorrenewalofmembership.
iv)TheExaminationAdmitletteralongwithPermanentMembershipIdentityCardshouldbeproducedtotheExaminationAuthorityeachtimeintheexaminationvenue
foridentification.
v)IntheabsenceofExaminationAdmitletter/PermanentMembershipIdentityCard,thecandidateisliabletobedeniedpermissionintheexaminationvenue.

EXAMINATIONSCHEDULE:
Examinationscheduleisgivenonthewebsitewww.iibf.org.in.InstitutereservestherighttochangetheExaminationschedulealreadyannouncedforanyvalidreason
andsaidchangeswillbenotifiedonourwebsite.Insuchcase/sCandidatesarerequiredtoappearfortheexaminationaspertherevisedschedule.Plnotethat
candidate/swillneitherbeentitledforRefundofexaminationfeesalreadypaidnoradjustmentoffeessopaidagainstanyfutureexaminationsoftheInstitute.
DECLARATIONOFRESULTS:
1)Resultswillbenormallydeclaredwithin2monthsoftheconclusionoftheexamination.Printedresultadvices(originalaswellasduplicate)willnotbesentbutthe
samewillbeavailableonInstitute'swebsite'www.iibf.org.in',inprintableform.Candidatesarerequiredtodownloadthesame.
2)CandidateswhohavepassedallsubjectsofJAIIB/CAIIBExamination,printedconsolidatedmarksheetcumcompletionmemorandumwillbedispatchedwithin1
monthfromtherespectiveZonalOfficesoftheInstitute.
FACILITYFORVERIFICATIONOFMARKS:
FacilityofverificationofmarkswillnotbeavailableforObjectiveType(MultipleChoiceQuestions)examinations.
ISSUEOFCERTIFICATES:
CandidateswhopassesJAIIBexaminationwillreceivethefinalCertificatewithin6monthsaftertheExaminationbyregistered/speedpostfromtheCorporateOffice
atMumbai.
CONDUCTANDDISCIPLINEINTHEEXAMINATIONHALL:
(i)Candidatesshouldbepresentattheexaminationvenueatleast15minutesbeforethecommencementoftheexamination.Nocandidateshallbepermittedtoenter
theexaminationhallaftertheexpiryof15minutesfromthecommencementoftheexamination.
ii)CandidatesshouldensurethattheysigntheAttendanceSheet.
(iii)Candidatesshouldnotpossessand/orusebooks,notes,periodicalsetc.intheexaminationhallatthetimeoftheexamination/orusemathematicaltables,slide
rules,stencilsetc.duringtheexamination.TheyshouldhandthemovertotheHallSuperintendentbeforethecommencementoftheexamination.Mobilephonesare
strictlyprohibitedintheexaminationhall.Acandidatefoundinpossessionofsuchunauthorizedmaterialduringtheexaminationisliabletobeproceededagainstfor
adoptionofunfairmeansintheexaminationinadditiontoreportingthemattertohis/heremployerfordisciplinaryproceedingsforthemisconduct.
(iv)ScientificorFinancialCalculatorsarenotpermittedattheexaminationVenue.CandidatewillbepermittedtousecalculatorswhileappearingfortheJAIIB
Examinationsubjecttothefollowingcalculatorsshould:
a)befullyportable
b)besilentwhileinoperation
c)bebatteryoperated
d)notbecapableofbeingprogrammedbytheinsertionoftapesorotherwise,
e)nothaveprintoutfacilities
f)notbeofthetypeupto6functionsand12digits,
g)notbecapableofretaining/storingdatainmemorywhenthesameisswitchedoff.
CalculatorswhichdonotcomplywiththeaboveconditionsandfoundinpossessionofcandidateduringtheexaminationwillbeconfiscatedbyExaminationSupervisors
andreturnedtothecandidateattheendoftheexamination,itwillamounttoadoptionofunfairpracticeattheexaminationbythecandidateconcernedandthe
Instituteshalltakesuchactionagainstthecandidateasmaybedeemedappropriate.
(v)Communicationofanysortbetweencandidatesorwithoutsidersisnotpermittedandcompletesilenceshouldbemaintainedduringtheexamination.
(vi)Copyinganswersfromothercandidates/otherprinted/Electronicmaterialorpermittingotherstocopyorconsultationofanykindwillattracttherulesrelatingto
unfairpracticesintheexamination
(vii)Nocandidateshallimpersonateothersorallowotherstoimpersonatehimself/herselfattheexamination.
(viii)Nocandidateshallmisbehave/arguewiththeExaminationConductingAuthoritiesatthecentre.

(ix)CandidateshavetocompulsoryreturnanypapersgivenincludingthatgivenforroughworktoInvigilator.
Ifanycandidateviolatesanyoftheaboverules,itwillbeconsideredtobeanactofmisconductandhe/shewillbeliableforpunishment
mentionedbelow.
PENALTIESFORMISCONDUCT/UNFAIRPRACTICES:
TheInstituteshallhavetherighttoimposepenaltiesonanycandidateforcommittinganactofmisconduct/unfairpracticeinrespectofanymatteraffectingthe
InstituteorinrespectofanyexaminationconductedbytheInstituteordisqualifyinganycandidatewho,theyhavereasontobelievehasreceivedorgivenunfair
assistanceattheexamination,and
(i)tocanceltheresultofsuchcandidateinalloranyofthesubjectsoftheexaminationatwhichhe/shemayhaveappeared
(ii)toexcludehim/herfromfutureexaminationseitherpermanentlyorforaspecifiednumberofexaminations
(iii)toreporthis/hernametohis/heremployerand
(iv)totakesuchotheractionagainsthim/herastheInstituteshallintheirsolediscretiondeemfitandthedecisionoftheInstituteshallbefinalandbindingonthe
candidateconcerned.
TheInstituteshallalsohaverighttocancelresultsofanysubsequentexaminationatwhichthecandidatemayhaveappeared,ifsuchexaminationfallswithinthe
exclusionperiodinthepenalty,asbyreasonofimpositionofsuchapenaltyofexclusionfromthefutureexamination,thecandidatewouldnothavebeeneligibleto
appearatsuchsubsequentexaminations.
IntheeventofanydisputebetweentheInstituteandthemember,onlyCompetentCourtsinChennai,Kolkata,NewDelhiandMumbaialonehavethejurisdictionto
entertainthedispute.
MultipleChoiceQuestions(MCQs)andAnswers
TheInstituteconductsitsexaminationsthroughMultipleChoiceQuestions(MCQs).TheseMCQsarepartoftheQuestionBankoftheInstituteanditsIntellectual
Property.Asamatterofpolicy,theseMCQsandtheiranswerswillnotbesharedbytheInstitutewiththecandidatesorothersandnocorrespondenceinthisregard
willbeentertained."
