1. Regular attendance is expected, those who absent from class twice will result in an
obligatory study report and 2 points deduction from participation
2. No late submission is allowed, violator is punished by 2 points deduction of his/her
classroom participation
3. If you are required to leave the room due to emergency, please just do it quietly
4. I do encourage and expect students to fully express themselves in class

This course describes the research topics and developing trend of technology fields based on two
quantitative research methods: causal and time series analysis. We focus on the evaluation and
comparison of the transportation, energy, and intellectual property in recent 10 years.
