1. What kind of things do civil engineers design?

Civil engineers design, highways, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges and
water supply systems and wastewater treatment.
2. Civil engineers manage what?

Many civil engineers manage people and projects. A civil engineer may oversee a
construction site or be a city engineer. Others may work in design, construction,
research, and teaching. There are many specialties within civil engineering, such as
structural, construction, environment, and transportation.

3. What are civil engineers specialities?

Los ingenieros civiles disean, construyen, supervisan, operan y mantienen grandes
proyectos y sistemas de construccin, incluyendo carreteras, edificios, aeropuertos,
tneles, presas, puentes y sistemas de suministro de agua y tratamiento de aguas
residuales. Muchos ingenieros civiles trabajan en el diseo, la construccin, la
investigacin y la educacin.

6. How do you become a civil engineer?

Civil engineers need a bachelors degree in civil engineering or one of its specialties.
Civil engineers need a bachelors degree. They typically need a graduate degree and
licensure for promotion to senior positions. Though licensure requirements vary within
the U.S., civil engineers must usually be licensed in the locations where they provide
services publicly.
