TEXT OF SPEECH
Assalamualikum warahmatullahi wabarokatuh.
Excellency Mr.Kalend Osen as the director of Basic English Course.
Respectable all teachers of Basic English Course Especially
the supervisor of starlight meeting.
Honorable the chief of starlight meeting Mr. Ita Rusmana.
Unforgettable all my friends the candidate of heavens inhabitans.

We have eyes, so we can look everything that we want. We have ears so we

can listen everything that we need. We have nose so we can breath every
time without payment. And we have mouth so lets say hamdallah together
allhamdulillahirabil alamin because those all no wrong and no other only
because of Allah subhanahu wataala.
There is no handsome one except someone who is standing in front of you
all, and there is no perfect one except our noble prophet Muhammad
Rasulullah shollallahu alai wassalam as uswatun hasanah, as rahmatan
lilalamin. Because of his struggle we can find the right way that is islam
religion. So it is not to much if we always give him sholawat and salam
Allahumma sholliala syaidina Muhammad.
From the bottom of my deepest heart I say thank you very much to the
master of ceremony because of your kindness I can stand in front of the great
young generation.
The title of my speech is CERTIFICATE AND SKILL
Firstly I want to ask you, which one is more important between certificate and
skill ? I am sure that most of us think tha certificate is the most important
thing wanted when we study in the school moreover in the course. Is there
any certificate ? that is the common question when the first time we want to
take course, isnt it ? in this modern era the question is not wrong. Because
certificate is one of requirements for applying job. We will get position in the
company according to our certificate. If we have good certificate, we will get
higher position. But if we dont have any certificate, no company will receive
our application and at least we will work in a low position as employee.
Because many people think that certificate is very needed, it make illegal
practice of selling certificate happen. A certificate can be bought from
someone without many difficulties and many people the certificate just for
completing requirement for applying job. But unfairness never can survive in
the world. And in the end they must give their responsibility in the
judgement.
Some people say that if we have certificate, of course we have skill. Is that
true ? thats true, do you think that Mr. Kalend Osen the director of Basic
English Course will give you certificate if we dont have good skill ? of course
no. but that is at BEC, and the others we dont know. I can say that certificate

is a valuable paper or a magic paper from school or course. Because of

certificate we want to do everything to get good value in our certificate even
the ways are wrong. Such as cheating, buying answer key, and etc. maybe
we think that if we have good value in our certificate, it can help us to get
job. But, can the certificate always help us for getting job ? the answer must
be no. in the fact, many university students cant get job easily after they
graduate from university even they have title. It shows that certificate or
university cant give us guarantee at present being servant or working at big
companies is not easy more over for or someone who doesnt have
connection with authority in government or in company and not from rich
family, everything can be bought by money include position we have already
known that is wrong. But we must realize it often happens in our country. So
to survive in this era we must have good skill not only in one domain. Multi
skill is the best choice. It must be our motto. With our skill we can build our
own company. We can create a job for other people also. For the real example
is our director Mr. Kalend osen. With good skill at English, he build his own
business and he also create job vacancy for other people. Mr.Kalend or BEC is
the pioneer of many course in Pare. It is more useful, isnt it? Remember
guys, the best person is someone who can be useful for other people.
Well happy brothers and sisters, I know that my handsome doesnt have limit.
But the time is limited. So I might as well close this speech.
No pain, no gain .
No sacrifice, no victory.
