Darul Ulum Islamic University (UNISDA) Lamongan is a college that synergizes Islamic

values in building skilled human resources, independent and responsive to the advancement
of science and technology in the global era. This idealization makes UNISDA obsessed
become the largest college. As the college which put Islam as a basic foundation, UNISDA
has three basic values: Tauhid, tawazun, and Rahmatan Lil'alamin. Tauhid basic values that
contain the entire teaching mission in UNISDA directly or indirectly provide the opportunity
and stimulus to the students in order to form a sense of their tauhid. It is not temporary and
only the task of religious lecturer, but the entire lecturers. Because if it is only considered as
temporary duty and the duty of religious lecturer alone, education in UNISDA will be only
partially achieved, but another part has not been reached. Therefore all lectures havethe
mission to socialize of base value of Tauhid. Tawazun base value or the balance give birth the
mission of UNISDA in which ithas the tasks to produce scholars who have intellectual
capabilities and accountable in religious. By quoting Dr.K.H. Mustain Romli, said that
London Brain Masjidil Haram Heart". Bachelor's graduates of UNISDA are those who are
responsive to modernity and globality while stepping foot anywhere always hold fast to the
faith and Islam. That is why, the culture of islamic campus life is always embedded to the
students, lecturers, and all levels of leadership.
Rahmatan Lilalamin base value mandates that the orientation of UNISDAs scholar is that
they have to create prosperity in the midst of society. "Good man is the man who are useful
for his surroundings", as well as that always resides in the hearts of the rest of UNISDA
citizens. In the period of education, the basic value for establishing peaceful in living together
is manifested in the form of lectures and student activities units that train students to study
about social life in the community. Intellectuality must be coherent with akhlaqulkarim (good
manner/behaviour)which is manifested in life to devote themselves to the environment
wherever they live and exist.
The three basic values are based on the view that "the owner of all science is essentially
God Almighty". These three basic values are formulated and used as UNISDAs vision that
"The True Faith, Knowledgeable Amaliyah (Application), Charity Scientific ally". The three
basic values are showing the understanding of UNISDA's goal. Spirit of regional autonomy
and the autonomy of education and also the lost of dichotomy between state and private
universities make UNISDAis recognized by the society as the largest college in the region of
West Surabaya now. Islamic culture of the campus and facilities in favor allows more or less
five thousand students can learn conceptually, internships, and practice in laboratories
designed as graduate workplace. UNISDA as the college with national and global vision is
designing a curriculum, teaching staff, as well as facilities that aims to make graduates as a
profesional Muslim scholar who have skills and independence.
