JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design of Sprinkler, standpipe, hydrant, fire extinguishers, water spray, foam water deluge, preaction,
clean agent system, fire pumps, fire detection and alarm systems as per NFPA & local authority
standards.

Oversees the Design functions and activities related to the working of the Design department.

Thoroughly researches the previous technical data related to installation detail, local authority
requirements, latest NFPA updating, design philosophy etc., compile the relevant reports, and helps in
the development of guidelines for future projects.

Ensuring shop drawings preparation as per NFPA & local authority standards.

Ensuring timely submission and resubmission of all submittals (Material Submittals and drawings).

Responsibility to implement changes required to correct problems by raising Letters or Request for
Information to the Consultant. Executing the changes at site as per response of Consultant & giving
information to commercial about the design changes.

Detect any possible faults and/or discrepancies in the consultants design drawings and suggest viable
alternatives to overcome issues.

Evaluate officially received notices of variations in order to recommend appropriate action and
coordinating with commercial department and ensure proper variation for the changes made at site.

Evaluate & permitting Bill of materials as per approved materials for procurement services.
