while they finger along to
their parts
First, the students will sing
the part while they maintain
a macro beat in their heels
and the micro beat in the
taps on their collarbone.
The teacher will provide
feedback for the students
about their rhythmic
accuracy. Once the students
have sang with 90%

This will give students an idea of


how the piece sounds like and to
hear what a group with good pulse
would sound like
To have the students play together
the music with accurate pulse and
rhythm

Assessment
The teacher will ask the students
what the key signature is for both
of the scales and assess the
accuracy of the answer. Then the
teacher will assess the accuracy of
the notes and rhythms played by
the students.
The teacher will watch students to
ensure they are on task and
focusing by seeing if they are
fingering along with the music.
The teacher will listen to assess
accuracy of rhythm and entrances
during singing and pitch and
rhythm accuracy during instrument
playing at the correct tempo of 70
BPM.

may have about pulse.
