Biological nitrogen fixation is an essential natural process that supports life
on Earth effecting the environment,
energy, nutrition, and agricultural
sustainability. The heavy use of
chemical fertilizers containing nitrogen, often employed for increasing
crop productivity, result in leaching of
nitrates which at high levels pose a health hazard to humans and
wildlife. Nitrogen is by far the most important element in the traditional N-P-K fertilizer, accounting for roughly half of the total fertilizer use.
When soils soils become anaerobic, nitrate (NO3) is reduced to nitrous
oxide (N2O), which is over 300 times more potent than carbon dioxide
(CO2) as a potential greenhouse gas.
Use of EarthCare products results in higher brix levels, which add up to
a sweeter-tasting, more mineral nutritious food with a lower nitrate and
water content level, and better storage characteristics. Harvested fruits and
vegetables with high Brix have shown better
resistance to post harvest disease and lower water
loss during storage. Crops with higher sugar content
will also have a lower freezing point and therefore
be less prone to frost damage. Higher sugar
content of treated plants and forages acts to
remediate pests because they cannot digest high
concentrations of amino acids, making plants with
high Brix unattractive.

have been tested on! The microbial
strains perform the same function in
differing environments, not just for temperature, but also for oxygen and lack of
oxygen, with and without water, and high
and low pH.
1. Biological Nitrogen fixation 95-99%
of nitrogen in the soil is in an organic form
that is not available for uptake by
plants. And although 78% of the earths
atmosphere is nitrogen, it also is mostly
unavailable for plant use. However,
Mother Nature has a solution - microbes. Microbes play an important part in
the nitrogen cycle. Our microbial formulation unlocks bound soil nitrogen and
absorbs nitrogen from the air for optimum plant growth and development.
And, because microbes create icro-channels in the soil structure, they
increase water penetration and decrease water runoff by about half,
which results in reduced watering needs.
2. Phosphate Solubilization - Often, phosphate is present in a bound form
unavailable
to plants. EarthCares microbial formulation solubilizes the bound phosphate
and makes it available to the plant in a useable form. Phosphate is involved

($150 + $65) per acre, at a cost of only $40 per acre. For a 1000 acre corn farmer,
this is an increase in net profit of $215,000 per year. This number reflects more
historic, lower, sales prices for the corn and more historic, lower, fertilizer
prices. The actual increase in net profit for corn farmers in 2009 ranged from
$250-500+ per acre. Multiple functions in a single product generate additional

Coffee Beans/Dominican Republic: In the

second month of a 4-month trial where 25% of
the leaves were infected with roya, all of the
new leaves are strong and roya-free. Once roya is
detected, It is dicult for farmers to save a
crop. If more than half of a trees leaves get
infected, it is likely that the tree will have to be
cut off at the stump, which means they cant
produce coffee beans for three years.

Bananas/Dominican Republic: Similar to the

have been conducted on banana crops and

Tomatoes/Michigan: The most comprehensive testing to date was

performed by Michigan State University. The greenhouse tests on
tomatoes produced phenomenal results definitely well above the
normal results to be expected. At the end of the test, the total yield of
tomatoes treated with SumaGrow showed an increase of 414% over
the plants treated with fertilizer!
Cotton/Arkansas: A grower in Arkansas wanted to see how SumaGrow
with a 50% reduction in fertilizer did when compared to just 100%
fertilizer. The results of his trial showed a 5% increase in yield, but also
a 100% reduction in boll rot, 21% more bolls, and a significant increase
in plant height.

Alongside the normal corn trials, SumaGrow alone was
tested against a control (no treatment) on corn silage. There was a
16.4% increase over the control resulting in over $3,000 profit for the
farmer.
Forage Boost
Kentucky: This trial was conducted by Murray State University in
Kentucky. They compared
three different products:
SumaGrow, Raw Milk,
NH4NO3, and a control. The
results showed that SumaGrow produced an average
daily gain (ADG) of 2.35
pounds, more than the cattle
grazing on pastures treated
with fertilizer of raw milk.
SumaGrow also produced
higher AUM than the other
