A.

Objectives

1. This is a website for sharing knowledge and connecting piping engineering

professionals.
2. Main features required:
a. Login using email or social accounts.
b. Admin and registered members can post articles.
c. Admin and registered members can post blogs with attachments.
d. Registered members can ask questions and can reply to questions posted
by other users.
e. Vendors/Suppliers can register as users and post their business and
product details under business directory. They should also be able to write
blogs related to their product.
f. Prepare email template to send newsletter (articles, blog posts and
questions) from backend. Template to be customised to include above as
per overall website theme.
g. Prepare email template to send newsletter request to join website for past
registered users. Send link to create a password now.
h. Automated newsletter every week to registered members with latest
articles, latest blog posts and latest questions posted.
i. Facebook like module on front page.
j. Full control of above features from admin panel

B.

General Requirements

1. Responsive design with Joomla 3 or similar CMS with full back end
administration. Template to be lean.
2. Pages to occupy full width.
3. All database from existing website to be transferred to new website. This
includes users, articles, business directory, questions and answers.
4. Sign-up by Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ in addition to the standard email
login.
5. Email registration to have Captcha and email verification.
6. After login by Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ user email ID and profile photo to
be extracted from the social accounts to the website profile. User to be
prompted to create password for the site using email ID as login after login by
social account.
7. Members to receive welcome email after registering. This email to be customized
from back end.
8. Menu on top with links to: Home Page, Articles page, Blog page, Jobs page
(future to be disabled now), Question and Answer page, Registration and Login
button
9. Images and Tables in articles to be responsive.
10.There will be no community page on the revamped website.
11.On all pages Google Ads to be strategically placed so that site gets a
professional look.

12.Approval of wireframes required for all main pages prior to implementation.

C.Index or Front page

1. Image with transitions on top and links to related articles (six articles).
2. Menu on top with links to: Home Page, Articles page, Jobs page, Question and
Answer page, Registration and Login button.

Articles section (Part of Main page)

1. Articles will be posted by admin regularly under various categories and sub
categories.
2. In addition to admin, registered members can also post articles on the website
under various categories and sub categories.
3. Articles submitted by registered members need to be approved by admin for
display on website. However registered member should be able to preview his
article.
4. Many articles will have tables. Hence CSS should have good format for table
headings and table data. Some tables will have common header for two columns
(refer some articles on current website).
5. Many articles may have images added to it. Front page will display list of recent
articles posted by admin and recent articles posted by members. Front page will
also display most read articles.
6. Registered member should be able to attach word, pdf, excel and PowerPoint
files to the submitted articles.

E.Blog page
1. Blogs will be posted by admin regularly under various categories and sub
categories.
2. In addition to admin, registered members can also post blogs on the website
under various categories and sub categories.
3. Blogs submitted by registered members need to be approved by admin for
display on website. However registered member should be able to preview his
blog.
4. Many blogs may have images added to it. Front page will display list of recent
blogs posted by admin and recent blogs posted by members. Front page will also
display most read blogs.

F. Question and Answer (Discussions) page

1. Registered members will be allowed to ask questions under various categories
and sub categories and other members can answer these questions.
2. The module will display the number of views, number of replies and if the
question is resolved or not.
3. Admin or the member who posted the question can declare by click of a button
that the question is resolved once he gets a satisfactory answer. Admin can then
close the post.
4. Members can attach word, excel, pdf and PowerPoint files in the questions and
answers. Members can search the database for past questions and answers.
5. Questions and answers can be shared through members social account. Front
page will display recent questions posted by members.
6. Use the http://demo.stackideas.com/easydiscuss module and customize
generally as per http://www.joomshaper.com/forums/index with colour theme as
per layout.
7. Layout of this module to be responsive.
