team to the Lunches of
Love WALK OF LOVE
& 5K Fun Run! The
event will be held on Saturday, November 14 beginning
at 10:00 am. Check-in begins at 9:30 am. This is a family
friendly event and includes kids' activities. Contact Sarah

When you go grocery shopping,
please ask for paper bags and
then put them in the box by the
elevator in the Welcome
Center.
Along with their
presents, I need these to bag up
the food that most Wishing Tree families get. Thanks for

The Wishing Tree is now in

full swing, and it has been
determined that we will
need 34 turkeys to be
donated to our families this
year. There is a sign-up
sheet at the Wishing Tree table for anyone willing to
donate a turkey. We will also need
additional freezer space to store
turkeys as they are received, as the
freezer in the Loomis Center will not
hold them all. If you have any
questions, or if you have available
freezer space for us to use, please see
Sue Harrison (713-269-9657), the
turkey committee chairperson. As
always, the Women in Mission are grateful for your
generosity!

Candlelight
Sunday, December 6th

all
women and girls (age
10+) to their annual
event,
once
again
featuring guest speaker,
Tina Hergenrader, MLC member, mom and Christian
author.
Once again the event will be in the
Welcome Center and includes dinner
and dessert for only $10 per ticket.
Tickets are on sale beginning today in
the Welcome Center.

MEMORIAL MOMS
UPDATE
For the month of
November,
Memorial Moms
will meet at
McDonalds
(5701 US 90) every Wednesday morning at 9:30 am.
There is a playplace for the kids, and there will be a short
devotion!
MLC has a great variety of Bible studies going on. Check
out the Discipleship Opportunites section of the your
bulletin for more details. Theres something for everyone
and you can choose from almost any day of the week.
Dont miss out on learning more about Gods life-saving
Word!

We will also meet on 1st and 3rd Saturdays

(November 7th & 21st at 9:30 at the same McDonalds!
