Fact Sheet

Call Driver

Advanced Call Completion increases revenue & customer satisfaction

Introduction

Globally, 82%* of mobile operator revenue comes from voice services. Protecting this revenue
stream and maximizing its future potential should be an operators highest priority. Increasing
this large percentage by even a small margin would have dramatic effects on the operators
bottom line. With studies showing voice ARPU trending downwards ($212 in 2008 to $166 in
2012*), operators must look for every opportunity to stop the revenue erosion and convert what
may be unbillable network activity into revenue generating minutes.

Key benefits:
Flexible platform that complete the
connection for every call attempt
Every Missed Call results in any
number of notification options or
combinations
Callers have multiple options to
complete the call including requests
for availability notification or
automatically connecting
End User Personalization and
control provide opportunities for
subscription revenue
Can be implemented as an overlay
to an existing Voicemail System

With 25% - 40% of calls not

completed on the network, a
solution to these challenges may
be right at hand. Increasing the
percentage of successful calls
completed directly increases
revenue. In addition, since
subscribers judge the performance
of a network by their ability to
successfully place calls, increasing
successful calls completed
increases customer satisfaction
contributing to reduced churn.

Additional Voice revenue

Additional Messaging revenue

Network operators need assurance that every call attempt results in revenue activity. Acisions
Call Driver increases the number of billable minutes within the network and the percentage of
successfully completed calls. This solution is simple to use by all subscribers regardless of the
type of mobile phone and functions across all network types.
Call Driver is the perfect solution for non-voicemail subscribers. Calls not completed (Busy, No
answer, switched off, out of coverage or unconditional) are routed to Call Driver along with a
reason code. Call Driver collects information and generates the appropriate single or aggregate
call notification to the subscriber when the handset is available.
Call Driver offers a compelling revenue opportunity. Increasing the annual $700 billion voice
revenue number by even a small percentage would represent a significant contribution to the
bottom line. For operators with a call completion profile as illustrated on the front of this sheet,
Call Driver offers the ability to positively impact voice ARPU by as much as 15%.
Features include assurance that every call attempt has multiple options to complete the
connection, every missed call results in any number of notifications and end users are provided
with the ability to manage and personalize the service as they see fit. Network operators can
institute targeted system level blacklisting to provide service to selected groups of end users. In
addition, subscriber notifications may be structured to include promotional messages providing
an additional revenue opportunity.

The design of Acisions Call Driver provides maximum value by introducing a voice network
component without a dependency on a carriers voicemail solution. Acision Call Driver easily
integrates with the operators SS7 network. The components combine the missed call / redirect
information with subscriber availability (from the SS7 network) and notification functionality
to deliver the advertised capability set. Call Driver is IMS ready and supports ISUP, SIGTRAN,
INAP and SIP signalling from the core network in addition to GSM MAP and IS-41protocols
for communicating with the HLR.
Call Driver is the perfect complement to Acision Voicemail. Mailbox owners have the option
of having calls completed with Call Driver or Voicemail which would result in standard
notification from the system or a slamdown notification if the caller chooses to hang up and
not leave a message.
