1.-This article is about brain plasticity, one of nature most amazing miracles!

Preterm births and other traumatic incidents, can leave babies and toddlers at
risk for developmental delays. Early intervention programs for children, are
enhancing early learning skills and the quality of care for all children with
traumatic birth experiences that reach out to clinicians and therapist.
This topic is of upmost importance for new parents and caregivers who have
had a traumatic birth experiences with their newborn child. This topic includes
those of premature births, longer than usual labors, and or, other birth
complications. This information may be helpful to anyone interested in childcare of
any kind including, just visiting a relative with a young child. Through a family
centered Approach, developmental care encourages positive development by
means of care-giving activities which emphasize the individuality of the client, and
where multidisciplinary interaction is essential (VanderVen 1992).
2.- The hypotheses of research studies can explain the positive effects of
how early stimulation programs that involve at home care givers early on in life
may, compensate and in turn further, enhance a childs thinking and memory skills
along with other cognitive functions in early development for a child that lacked
the early exposure to stimulation from birth trauma due to medications or invasive
medical care. Treatment also, may prevent the decline in milestone achievements

in these cases. This sort of special attention and care for high need children, can be
traced back to the 19th century.
3. - Early intervention programs are therapies for children who struggle, and
are very helpful support systems to caregivers. These treatments are implemented
in a way and at an age, that is detrimental to early childhood development.
Treatments need to be at regular intervals and information should pass over to the
childs home environment. At risk children have outcomes that radically improve
when the childs parents are involved in their therapies at home as well as in the
clinical setting. Designed to prevent delayments in the childs development or, at
least to catch the child up to their higher responding level of achievement. Therapy
settings are very positive environments designed to support the childs best good in
all aspects. These treatments are highly studied in ways that are most effective to
re-wire, shape, and strengthen the brains neuron synapses. This helps to create
better connections with the childs understanding of their world. These programs
are beneficial for the child and the whole community.
There is hope for your high risk child to grow and learn to adapt to a
different standard of living that is no less rewarding. The attitudes of the children
who struggle are set to overcome obstacles in a new light and this is said to help
their parents to see how rewarding the childs differences have become.

Providing the family with the knowledge they need to properly stimulate and add
enrichment to these children that they may have missed out on natural
development inspires re-teaching early integrative reflexes and growth.
Emotional development and wellbeing is important for psychological, social,
and behavior regulation as well. These infants are actively striving for a better
assessment outcome. Working with them is optimal for a regulation in their tone,
self-awareness, and entire system of health. The essential concept of development
al care is that clinicians are providing methods that best suit building stability in
the thriving newborn with attributes of observed problematic interferes of the
newborns normal development.
- Birth trauma can be a shock to a whole family and support system. The
whole happy child that is born may need a lot of extra care and attention that
maybe the parents cannot fully understand. In many cases, the childs health may
be at risk. In most traumatic births, developmental delays are recognized, as the
child is growing to meet their milestones. Interaction and special development care
is critical.
4.-The care givers knowledge of proper care is calibrated thru-out the health
profession field, of all whom interact with the infant. Family care and involvement
in participation with the child care is crucial. There are behavioral differences in

children with TBI, along with memory, and cognitive capacity differences at
certain levels in their times of growth to meet their milestones. Many caregivers
may witness problems in the child such as, loss of balance, and coordination,
inability to adapt to changes from insecurities and proprioceptor controls.
The miraculous recovery and rehabilitation my take several years to see the
positive effects. Different children serve different benefits from anywhere to severe
coping injuries to very mild difficulties and challenges. Clinics also contain a
different relevant environment per child. Mostly to stimulate the recovery in the
brain. Post-natal treatment and therapies included earlier seem to have better
recovery effects.
As far as research, not many studies are conducted therefore, comparisons
among samples must be conducted carefully. Services for families leaving NICU
for speech related issues, or coordination, or motor related problems are out there
but few research studies in private practices and clinical setting occur. The US
department of education in early intervention age related studies define need base
treatments for a range of developmental occurrences and age based milestone
factors.
The implicational care is critical to the patients rehabilitation. Analyzing
personal cases, Model cases, NICU care, multi-disciplinary family care, and

environment are all part of the study based research. Synaptic change studies are
done on mice. Paint brush stroking on mice is similar to therapy used on children
called brushing protocol. Also, there are brain studies on the neurons and branches
of the brain showing synapse and cortex motor cell reactions. Thru sample
comparison, observation studies are conducted. Continuous assessments for
adequate evaluation for induvial growth are recorded.
Parent reports are given on how their childrens abilitys to
communicate and participate improved. It is important to follow up with a
Social worker if your child experiences excess trauma at birth. They are there to
support you thru the process if this is your child you are ready to bring home from
the hospital. The next step is, to be sure you a have a MD for your child so that,
they may write the prescription to seek therapy at local early intervention centers.
At each step of the way if the child is noticed to struggle to meet their milestone,
childcare professionals will be there to guide the caregiver toward proper help.
5. Your child may receive a diagnoses that you know little or nothing about.
This is the opportunity to ask questions understanding how to work with the
therapist to best treat your childs specific de-layments they are targeting thru
milestones and ability. There are several journals written of interest with similar
content but, two major articles put the subject information in the closest

relationship to the matter at hand which was studies of birth trauma patients that
received intervention by passing significant diagnoses and surpassing Doctor
beliefs on how well their outcome was. Results, do amaze many in the Health
sciences field as well as psychology and medical profession.

The outcomes and studies after receiving therapies change the behavioral
recovery of the brain. References about neural cognitive development state that the
inter-disciplinary atmosphere created from treatment rooms, form habitual routines
that strengthen brain cognition and connects the synapses in the brain for motor
control. Studies are formulated from the clinician and mother creating a tailored
play schedule, dividing out goals for the child to meet and providing the
environment and tools for the child to grow and learn through play and stimulation
from attention. The outcomes of occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech
therapy, can greatly enhance a childs life that may struggle with early learning
cognitive and developmental skills.
6. - With known information of brain plasticity, the benefits of early
intervention for children that suffered birth trauma are proved to be
astonishing but, not enough caregivers are aware of, or able to seek this sort
of professional assistance. If the community was able to reach at risk babies

in higher numbers for this sort of support and help, it may give them a
chance at a healthier outlook on life. To help, and support, at risk children
reach appropriate developmental milestones and provide treatments
that are tailored for their own Individual age, and needs for development in
an enriching environment will provide a better reality for families to thrive.
