Thank you for allowing us to provide you with informa7on describing some recent changes at Mount
Laurel Animal Hospital & Emergency Service that we believe will bring value and beAer service to you,
your hospital, your clients and your pa7ents.
Some of these recent changes include:
Penn Vet AliaUon: Penn Vet has found that Mount Laurel Animal Hospital & 24 Hour Emergency
Services level of care and medicine falls within their university level standards. As a new aliate
hospital, this rela7onship will provide your clients with access to Penn Vet specialists as they will
rotate through Mount Laurel Animal Hospital and 24 hour Emergency Service providing Penn Vet
level standards to your clients right within Mount Laurel.
Internal Medicine: Dr. Victoria Byeld has joined our team, full-7me, to provide ultrasounds and
internal medicine consulta7ons for hospitalized pa7ents and referrals into the hospital. She is highly-
skilled at ultrasound and endoscopy procedures. She is available by appointment Monday
Thursdays.
Oncology: We are teaming up with Penn Vet to oer oncology consulta7ons by appointment on a
weekly basis with Dr. Erika Krick right here in our hospital.
Cardiology: Dr. Meg Sleeper and Penn Vet Specialist Dr. Mark Kraus are available at our prac7ce
providing echocardiograms and case consulta7ons on a weekly basis.
ExoUc paUent care: We are excited to oer exo7c pet care which includes care for pocket pets,
rep7les, and birds. Dr. Margaret Fordham is a residency trained exo7cs clinician who is joining our
team full-7me. Dr. Colin McDermoA has pursued extensive addi7onal training in exo7c pet medicine
and surgery including sh! We are excited to have him join our prac7ce in January 2016.
Emergency doctor staed during the day: In addi7on to a^er hour care, we have a designated
emergency veterinarian staed at all 7mes of day and night to accept case transfers that require
around the clock care or even just cases that you may not have the availability to t into your busy
day such as those that require emergency surgery, trauma or cri7cal cases, or cases that require an
extensive diagnos7c workup or treatment protocol. You will be updated on your pa7ents that are
hospitalized at our facility by our day7me emergency veterinarian.
Flexibility of services to meet your needs: We will con7nue to tailor treatment protocols to suit your
hospitals requests.
PaUent esUmates: We are happy to provide an es7mate for care prior to all referrals to our hospital.
CompeUUvely priced services: We will con7nue to work with your clients budget to provide
aordable care with the best interest of the pa7ent in mind. Our emergency exam is $95 during
day7me hours and $125 a^er hours and on weekends. A $50 referral discount will be applied to any
case that is directly referred to our hospital from your doctors and sta. We accept Care Credit and
oer military and senior ci7zen discounts as well as discounts for service and guide dogs.
Discounts for doctors and sta from referring pracUces: We are happy to con7nue to oer a 40%
discount to veterinarians and 25% discount to sta that work at your hospital for services at our
hospital.
Free paUent transport available upon request: Our hospital van is equipped to transport your
pa7ent to and from our hospital should you and your sta need us.
Overnight monitoring program: Our goal is that this package will be aordable to your clients and
give you peace of mind that your pa7ents are being carefully monitored a^erhours. The Overnight
Monitoring Package consists of the emergency transfer exam, overnight hospitaliza7on and
monitoring, injectable medica7ons (up to 5 injec7ons), and IV uid therapy (when transferred with IV
catheter and uids). These services are discounted by over $100 into a bundled package at a at rate
of $250.
NOTE: There are certain exclusions to the injectable medicaKons such as those medicaKons which far exceed the minimum
price per injecKon including phenobarbital, keppra, doxycycline, etc. and diagnosKc tests are not included with this package.
