await His Final Judgement.
THE FIRST PEOPLE WHO WERE INVITED by Almighty God to partake of the Great Mercy of
His Divine Eucharist WERE THE HEBREWS.
AFTERWARDS HIS DIVINE INVITATION WAS OFFERED TO EVERYONE ELSE TO ALL HUMAN BEINGS
THROUGHOUT THE WORLD AND THROUGHOUT THE AGES.
Now AS CHRISTIANS WE MUST EAGERLY PARTAKE OF HOLY COMMUNION EVERY TIME WE
ATTEND THE DIVINE LITURGY WITHOUT MAKING EXCUSES to reject Gods Divine
Banquet of Thanksgiving, Salvation and Eternal Life.
Our Holy Church Fathers regard THE THREE EXCUSES that Christ mentioned as NOT
ONLY HAVING A LITERAL MEANING BUT ALSO A PROFOUND SPIRITUAL MEANING!
Far too many of us are so attached to and obsessed with our worldly cares and
favourite past times that WE HAVE NO TIME NOR INCLINATION TO ACCEPT GODS DIVINE
INVITATION for our Salvation and Eternal Life in His Heavenly Kingdom.
FAR TOO MANY OF US USE EVERY SELF-JUSTIFYING
EXCUSE TO REJECT HIS GREAT AND
WONDERFUL INVITATION TO HIS HEAVENLY BANQUET AT EACH DIVINE LITURGY!
Too many of us think that we can ignore God and all our Sacred Commitments to
Him until a later stage of life when it might suit us better!
Alas! EACH OF US HAS ONLY A SPECIFIC MEASURE OF LIFESPAN IN WHICH TO PREPARE
OURSELVES FOR ETERNITY .

This Parable of our Lord Jesus Christ consists of TWO ASPECTS, ILLUSTRATING BOTH THE
FIRST AND SECOND COMING OF CHRIST, Who is the Servant sent by God the Father
TO GATHER MANY TO PARTAKE OF HIS HOLY EUCHARIST, WHICH GRANTS US SALVATION
THROUGH THE REPENTANCE AND THE FORGIVENESS OR REMISSION OF SIN AND THUS ETERNAL
LIFE.
The term Supper indicates an evening meal OUR ESSENTIAL NOURISHMENT BEFORE
RESTING OR SLEEPING.

Teachings and Divine Commandments of Almighty God, which is Life in

Christ, TO ALL ASPECTS OF OUR PERSONAL LIFE.
As genuine Orthodox Christians, EVERY FACET OF OUR BEING WORD, THOUGHT AND DEED
IS FREELY AND EAGERLY DONE WITH SINCERE HUMILITY AND OBEDIENCE TO THE WILL OF
GOD!
Our willingness to follow Christ should always be compelled by a profound Love
of God and our fellow Pilgrims with whom we Struggle side by side as we
all proceed towards Eternity.
As Faithful Disciples of Christ, we ceaselessly and consciously strive to imitate
our Lord by applying His Divine Teachings and Commandments to every
word, thought and deed, so that we may slowly and surely regain our lost
Likeness to God and become worthy Citizens of His Eternal Kingdom.
We must LIVE ACCORDING TO CHRISTS GLORIOUS RESURRECTION for we shall all be
likewise Resurrected on the Eighth Day - His Great, Impartial and Final
Judgement Day and the beginning of Eternity - and have to give an
account for every word, thought and deed from our first breath of life to our
last!
Everything we accomplish during this short Preparatory Period of Earthly Life,
should be achieved through True Life in Christ so that we are able to FACE
OUR FINAL JUDGEMENT IN PEACE AND WITH CONFIDENCE - and without fear of
Eternal Condemnation and Spiritual Exile from God through unrepented
sins and a tragic lack of Agape True, Unconditional and Divine Love!
2. TRUE ASCETICISM IN CHRISTS HOLY CHURCH:
As Baptised Christians, WE ARE BECOMING IN PRACTICE WHAT WE ARE ALREADY IN SPIRIT.
OUR SALVATION BEGINS WITH HOLY BAPTISM and is CONTINUED THROUGHOUT OUR
LIFESPAN by means of a Faithful and proper Life in Christ.
As WE DIED WITH CHRIST THROUGH OUR HOLY BAPTISM, so now too, WE MUST STRUGGLE
EVERY MOMENT OF THE DAY TO ROOT OUT AND DESTROY ALL OUR OLD SINFUL AND
DISINTEGRATING PASSIONS that cause us to fall into temporary SPIRITUAL DEATH.

Our subsequent determined efforts of Repentance Save us and return us to

SPIRITUAL LIFE IN CHRIST.
Due to our weak human nature and self-indulgent habits, WE REGULARLY FALL INTO A
STATE OF SPIRITUAL DEATH.
Each time we surrender ourselves to the enemies temptations and distractions we
turn away from God.
However, our Ever Loving and Gracious Lord has granted us the means to
RETURN AGAIN AND AGAIN TO SPIRITUAL LIFE IN CHRIST THROUGH IMMEDIATE AND
CEASELESS REPENTANCE-CONFESSION.
Furthermore, the closer our Relationship to God becomes through our Spiritual
Struggles, the more ferociously the enemy will attack us.
Nevertheless, we need NEVER DESPAIR, for THROUGH HUMILITY AND OBEDIENCE, WE GROW
EVER STRONGER due to the Great Mercy of God Who enables us to achieve
even the most impossible things!
Thus, we should UNFAILINGLY GLORIFY GOD AND OFFER OUR PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING FOR
ALL OUR EXPERIENCES good or bad because EVERY LITTLE OBSTACLE MAKES US
SPIRITUALLY STRONGER AND DRAWS US CLOSER TO GOD.
As WE WERE RAISED WITH CHRIST, so we must CHOOSE THE VIRTUOUS, UNIFYING DESIRES
OF THE NEW MAN the New Redeemed human being that we are
becoming in the Holy Body of Christ THROUGH OUR VOLUNTARY OBEDIENCE TO
HIS HOLY CHURCH and everything She requires of us!
To try to do anything else according to our own flawed concepts will most certainly not have the
same final Spiritual Results and Eternal Achievements.
THE NEW MAN - our Renewed Being - STEADILY GROWS FROM ONE STAGE OF
PERFECTION TO ANOTHER, as we slowly but surely regain our lost Divine
Likeness - truly BECOMING the Image of our Lord Jesus Christ until,
