Summary
I am pursuing a Technical Manager position in a project development, design, and construction environment. I am
professionally experienced with field and office engineering in the management of Engineering and Construction projects.
My experience includes chemical facilities (refineries and storage terminals), major industrial plant construction to
multiple (intra-state) projects including, piping, mechanical work, railroad inspections and maintenance, HVAC, civil
remediation, building construction, and storage tanks.
Employment History
Chevron Richmond Refinery (Contract) - Richmond, CA - Project Manager 2006 – 2010
Created request for expenditures for project funding from initial request to construction completion. Managed complex
construction and project documents development such as P&ID’s, flow diagrams, isometrics, demolition, and erection
drawings. Managed mechanical integrity projects from equipment selection to commissioning, including preventative
maintenance recommendations. Managed project development of facilities modifications including demolition and new
construction. Managed process engineering reviews to confirm project quality and process efficiencies. Review
equipment and resource requirements to safely and efficiently perform the scheduled tasks. Inspected work quality as
completed by the various project contractors. To support construction, I managed procurement activities from specifying
materials to logistics. Performed facilities inspections for hazards related high risk areas. Reviewed construction
documents for completeness and accuracy including drawings, specifications, RFI’s, including qualifications of specialty
crafts. Coordinated projects to ensure compliance with federal and state agencies related to health and environmental
issues. Created SOP’s and trained Operations, Maintenance, and Administration staff in the revised SOP requirements to
reflect a safe working environment. Used Microsoft Office products, Project, AutoCAD, MAXIMO, SAP, and other

Created new award-winning company start-up as an independent Manufacturers Representative for the Public Safety
communications market. Territories included Northern California and Nevada. Received a Second Place National Award
from the primary manufacturer for $3.5 Million in annual sales. Developed facility wireless projects by specifying
antenna types for the facility engineers. Resolved shipping and product quality issues as they were exposed. Explored
product improvements to increase sales through the distribution chains. Developed new client relations and created new
sales accounts to support the manufacturers. Maintained and expanded marketing databases for increasing manufacturer-
to-client relationships. Maintained new product literature distribution and product training through the marketing chain

General Chemical LLC - Richmond, CA - Operations Planner 2003 – 2004
Primary West Coast Contact for developing the General Chemical National Mechanical Integrity Program. Primary team
member of the IBM MAXIMO software development and implementation team for the new work order creation and
inventory management project. Created job plans and schedules for the maintenance staff to support operations and
production goals for daily schedules and shutdown/turnarounds as required in a Sulfuric Acid/Alkylation Acid
environment. Review equipment and resource requirements to safely and efficiently perform the scheduled tasks.
Inspected quality of workmanship in the field as completed by the assigned staff. Liaison between contractors
representatives and maintenance. Hands-on inspection of stationary and rotating equipment teardowns in the shop and
field to develop recommendations for repairs. Continually performed facilities inspections for hazards related to rigging in
hot work areas. Managed 12 maintenance employees including; pipefitting, I&E, mechanics, and the warehouse. On-call
24/7, provided support for associated corporate operating units for shutdown/turnaround project work. Coordinated
