Name: Choku Rei (pronounced Cho-Koo Ray)

Meaning: Power, Focus

Purpose: An all purpose symbol that can also be used to magnify the effects of other Reiki
frequencies.
Power or Choku Rei is probably the most commonly utilized symbol. You first received this energy
in Usui Reiki Ryoho Level One. Since it is quite powerful, it serves as a good general frequency for
any sort of session.
I experience the Power symbol as red with a warm to hot feeling. This naturally warm feeling makes
Choku Rei particularly useful for comfort at the physical level. Since it is also quite powerful, it can
be used to cleanse objects, clear rooms of negativity, nurture plants, or create a more relaxing bath.
The power symbol is effective in magnifying the effects of other symbols. Simply draw Choku Rei,
the other symbol, and then Choku Rei once again. The properties of the middle symbol will then be
strengthened.

Name: Sei Heki (pronounced Say Heh-Kee)

Meaning: Harmony, Mental/Emotional Symbol
Purpose: A relaxing symbol used to calm the mind, promote balance, and reinforce healthy habits.
Apart from Choku Rei, the Harmony symbol is the one I use the most. This energy was one of two
frequencies sent with the second level attunement. It is extremely good for creating a peaceful
environment.
I feel this frequency as sky blue with a slight breeze. In cases where the client is extremely upset,
caught up in their dis-ease, or feeling suicidal this feeling becomes quite chilly and uncomfortable.
Sei Heki works in the deeper mental and emotional layers of the being. Thus, it is particularly useful
for treating those with emotional or mental dis-ease, individuals wishing to work on relationships,
and for clearing the mind. Gradually, over time, this energy reinforces healthy behavior, enhances
positive change, and aids in the release of ego conditioning. For best use, Sei Heki should be drawn
over the crown, third eye, heart, or solar plexus.

Name: Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen (pronounced Hon Shah Zeh Show Nen)
Meaning: Distant Healing Symbol, Connection
Purpose: A symbol used in distant healing and for relieving karmic issues.
The Distant Healing symbol is one that is rarely used during sessions. You first experienced this
frequency in the second level of Usui Reiki Ryoho. This energy is generally used for distant healing
and distant attunements. However, once youve done your first distant session you will rarely have to
call up this symbol again. Intention calls up the effects automatically.
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen works from the outer layers of the aura and moves inward. Therefore is
sometimes useful for working on karmic or past life issues. If felt at all, this frequency feels like
electricity and has a slight buzzing sound.

Name: Dai Ko Myo (pronounced Day Koh May-Oh)

Meaning: Master
Purpose: A symbol used for attuning others to Reiki.
The Master symbol is the only frequency given with the forth level attunement. This symbol is not
used in healing sessions as its only use is for attuning others to Reiki. This symbol is used alone or
with other Reiki symbols during the attunement process.
To me, Dai Ko Myo feels quite magnanimous and empowering. It is slightly heavy and warm to the
touch. Often attention seems drawn to the third eye and crown. Within a few moments, energy can
be felt vibrating throughout the entire body.
