THEME 2015 - 2016

RI President
elect K.R. Ravindran
chose Be a Gift to
the World as his
theme. He writes:
Every one of us
has something
to give whoever we are, whatever our place
in life. We can give our talent, our knowledge,
our abilities, and our effort; we can give our dedication and our devotion. Through Rotary, we
can take these gifts and make a genuine difference in the lives of others and in our world.
DG Maurice EDORH : After Lighting up Rotary

PILOT PROGRAM
INNOVATION CLUB :
Applications of Clubs

Attention : Governors, Governors-Elect and Officers in charge of District Membership

Dear Sir/Madam,
I invite you to share the following information with the clubs in your district.
The results obtained from our surveys and think-tanks clearly indicate that potential and current members are interested in some
measure of relaxing the regulations for club administration.
Trustees of Rotary wish to gather additional data on the effects of an increased flexibility for clubs in terms of membership development and their administration. This is why they have approved the extension of the Club Innovation pilot programme from 200
to 1,000 clubs with effect from 1st July 2015 to 30th June 2017.
The Club Innovation pilot programme will evaluate the potential impact of changes in the format of meetings, club administration,
recruitment requirements and attendance on the ability of a club to maintain and increase its membership, initiate service projects
as well as relevant activities and contribute to the Foundation.
To be eligible, clubs must :
have been charted before 30th June 2010
have met their financial obligation with Rotary
have a membership of at least 20 Rotarians
not already be participating in other pilot programmes 2011-2017
The deadline for sending the application form is 31st March 2015. Leaders of the selected clubs and their districts shall be notified
in June 2015.
Please write to ripilotprograms@rotary.org if you have any questions.
I would be grateful to you if you could inform your clubs about this important initiative for the future of Rotary.
Yours sincerely,
John HEWKO
General Secretary
