MEASUREMENTS Fits bust 80 (90-100) cms/32 (36-40) ins To measure (approx) 90 (100-110) cms/36 (4044) ins Length (approx, when worn) 58 (59-60) cms/23 (23-24) ins Sleeve length 43 cms/17 ins SEAN SHEEP YARN CASSOWARY 11 (13-15) x 50g balls Needles A pair 6.50mm (US 10), (UK 3) Knitting Needles or size that gives correct tension/gauge. MATERIALS A Yarn Needle. TENSION/GAUGE 11 sts and 22 rows to 10 cms/4 ins over stocking st, using 6.50mm (US 10), (UK 3) Knitting Needles. Note - Correct tension/gauge is essential for a successful handknit. ABBREVIATIONS St/s - stitch/es, K - Knit, P - Purl, garter st - every row knit, stocking st - 1 row K, 1 row P, RS - right side, WS - wrong side, inc - increase, K2tog - knit 2 sts together, P2tog - purl 2 sts together, dec decrease, cont - continue, beg - beginning, rep - repeat, rem - remain/ing, foll - follow/ing, alt alternate. CREATE Back Using 6.50mm (US 10), (UK 3) Needles, cast on 51 (57-63) sts. Knit 3 rows garter st (1st row is WS). Work in stocking st (beg with a knit row) until work measures 37 cms/14 ins from beg, ending with a purl row. Shape armholes - Cast/bind off 3 (4-5) sts at beg of next 2 rows = 45 (49-53) sts. 3rd row - K2tog, knit to last 2 sts, K2tog. 4th row - Purl. Rep last 2 rows 2 (3-3) more times = 39 (41-45) sts. Cont without shaping until armhole measures 21 (22-23) cms/8 (8-9) ins, ending with a purl row. Shape shoulders - Cast/bind off 7 (7-8) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Cast/bind off rem 25 (27-29) sts loosely knitways. Left Front Using 6.50mm (US 10), (UK 3) Needles, cast on 27 (29-33) sts. Knit 3 rows garter st (1st row is WS). Work in stocking st (beg with a knit row) until work measures 37 cms/14 ins from beg, ending with a purl row. **

Sleeve (make 2) Using 6.50mm (US 10), (UK 3) Needles, cast on 27 sts. Knit 3 rows garter st (1st row is WS). Work in stocking st (beg with a knit row), inc one st at each end of next row, then in every foll 10th (8th-6th) rows until there are 39 (41-45) sts. Cont without shaping until work measures 41 cms/16 ins from beg (noting that 2 cms/1 ins has been allowed for dropping and to measure down centre of work), ending with a purl row. Shape top - Cast/bind off 2 (2-3) sts at beg of next 2 rows = 35 (37-39) sts. Dec one st at each end of next row, then in every foll alt row until 15 sts rem, then in every row until 9 sts rem. Cast/bind off loosely knitways. FINISHING DO NOT PRESS. Using yarn needle, darn in all ends. Using yarn needle and mattress st seam, join side and sleeve seams. Sew in sleeves. If desired, turn back cuff. Sew fronts together for approx 18 cms/7 ins from cast on edge. Fold collar sections over onto right side as pictured.
