Who knows what we celebrate today?

We celebrate First Fruits/The resurrection of Yeshua/Jesus– Yeshua/Jesus rising from

the dead.
1 Corinthians 15:20
But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.
Who Is Yeshua-Jesus?
G-d’s Son

Who is G-d?
G-d created the heavens and the earth and everything in it. He created you and me and
He loves us very much.
Why did Yeshua-Jesus have to die?
Yeshua-Jesus had to die because Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned, big
people and little people…every single person EXCEPT for Yeshua-Jesus. Sin,
separates us from G-d. Before Yeshua-Jesus died, to be close to G-d people
had to kill a lamb, or another special animal to take away their sins as a sac-
rifice. When Jesus died, He was our sacrifice for sin, and there is no longer
any need for an animal to be sacrificed. Jesus takes the sins of those who be-
lieve in Him and forgives them and forgets them. He takes our dirtiness
from our sins and makes us clean. Then and only then can we be close to G-
d.
What is sin?
G-d gives us rules in the Bible, not doing those rules (disobeying) those rules is
sin.
Have you ever disobeyed rules? Have you ever been naughty? Have you ever
gotton a spanking or a time out?
Sin separates us from G-d. It makes Him very sad, He wants us to obey Him and live
with him forever, but because of sin, we can’t do that. “The Bible, God’s Words, lets us
know we have sinned. Once we know we have sinned, we realize there are dark clouds
around us. But God is like the sun; we can see Him clearly when we ask Him to forgive
us and He takes our sins away.” -Righteous Rhymes
Why is Yeshua/Jesus’ death special?
Because we sin and are separated from G-d, it makes G-d sad. He loves us so much
that He sent Yeshua/Jesus to take out punishment for our sins. That way we can be
forgiven and be close to G-d! He loves us a lot to take the punishment for our sins,
HUH! allows us to become G-d’s children and live with Him forever in a good place,.
BUT we can only live with Him in the good place, Heaven, if we are a Believer/
Christian.
How did Yeshua/Jesus die?
Well, that’s the story I am going to tell you today.
Yeshua/Jesus came to earth as a baby
He grew up
When He grew up He taught lots of people what G-d wanted Him to teach
He healed lots and lots of people that were sick so that they wouldn’t be sick anymore
Lots of people believed in Him and they worshipped Him as he rode on the back of a
donkey, they waved palm branches and laid their coats for Him to ride over
BUT there were mean sinful men who wanted to kill Him.
Yeshua/Jesus told His friends (disciples) that it was now time for Him to die for every-
one’s sins. He told them the mean people would kill him. But before the mean people
took Jesus, Jesus spent a special time with them, He broken a special kind of bread
called Matza and told them that His body would be broken for our sins and He took
some special grape juice called wine and told them that He would bleed to take away
their sins. He asked that everyone who believes in Him to remember what He was do-
ing for them by spending time remembering how He bled and died on the cross to
take away our sins and make us clean. This special time is called Pesach (Passover
seder) and The Feast of Unleavened Bread.
After they ate that special dinner, Yeshua/Jesus went to a beautiful garden to pray. He
went to pray because He needed God to help Him go through the bad things that would
happen to hurt him and make Him bleed and cause Him to die. G-d sent angels to
help Him be brave.
After Yeshua/Jesus was finished praying the mean men came and took Him to jail..
People lied about Yeshua/Jesus and said He did bad things but He never did. They hit him, and hurt Him. They
made fun of Him and called Him bad mean names. Finally the people yelled Kill Him Kill Him...And the mean
people did just that. But he loved them all, and He loves us. He willingly laid down His life for all of us. 1
John 3:16 We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us
Those mean people physically put Him on the cross but it was our sins that put nails
in Jesus’ hands, and a sword in His side, it was our sins that killed Him, and He died.
It hurt very much. But G-d and Yeshua/Jesus love us that much. G-d let His Son Ye-
shua/Jesus die to take our punishment for our sins, and Yeshua/Jesus loved us so
much that He laid down His life to save us from our sins.
When He died, things happened that were special to prove that He was the Son
of G-d. Many people felt very sorry for killing Him.
A friend of Yeshua/Jesus buried Him in a tomb. They rolled a HUGE rock in front of
the door and made soldiers guard it. But after 3 days and three nights, a miracle hap-
pened. That Big rock was moved and an angel sat on it. All the guards had run away
and Yeshua/Jesus had risen from the dead! He is alive!
Many of Jesus’ friends saw and spent time with Yeshua/Jesus after He rose from the
dead.
Eventually, Yeshua/Jesus had to go back to heaven until the right time comes for Him
to come back and get us.
But He told us that He had to go back to heaven to be with G-d to prepare a place for us
when we go to heaven...

How do you become a Christian?

You have to believe that Yeshua/Jesus died and rose again in your heart and you have
to be able to say out loud that He is your G-d, asking Him to come in and take away
your sins.
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the
dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your
mouth that you confess and are saved."--Romans 10:9-10

What do we do after we become a Believer/Christian?

Luke 10:27 ESV
"You shall love the L-rd your G-d with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself."
Pray over them:
Ephesians 3:16-19 “that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strength-
ened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your
hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to com-
prehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know
the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of
God.”
