Tappers, sample the signal similar to directional couplers but

without directivity. In a distributed antenna system (DAS)
the tapper samples the signal from the main feeder cable
for different building floors. Tappers are alternative coupler
design, which is lower cost than directional couplers, and
offer larger bandwidth.
