EXTRACURRICULAR EXPERIENCES
CITY DANCE THEATRE, SALEM, OREGON 2007-PRESENT

I am proficient in ballet, pointe, tap, and jazz.


2012-I was selected for a jazz trio.
2013-I was selected for a pointe solo.
2014-I was selected for a tap solo.

2011-present-I was selected to create my dance companys t-shirts and programs.


PIANO, SALEM, OREGON 2003-PRESENT

I have participated in numerous recitals, both as a soloist and as an accompanist.


2014-I was selected as the winner of the Bach State Piano Festival.
SINGING, SALEM, OREGON 2010-2012

I was involved in choir my freshman year and loved the musical outlet as part of my class schedule.
2010-2012-I took private singing lessons.
2011-2012-I was involved in school choir.
VIOLIN, SALEM, OREGON 2012-PRESENT

I started the violin my sophomore year and auditioned for an orchestra position after just two months of lessons,
and I qualified for a position. Since 2012, I have been promoted to the intermediate performing orchestra, Sinfonia.
ANGEL QUILTS, NON-PROFIT, SALEM, OREGON 2013-PRESENT

I founded the non-profit, Angel Quilts, in 2013. It is presently in review to become an official 501c3 non-profit.
Angel Quilts was founded in memory of my sister, Kathleen Ann, a stillborn. We make and deliver baby quilts for
stillborn and miscarried babies. We are currently serving two hospitals in Oregon and are pending in two more.
My ultimate goal for Angel Quilts is to be a national non-profit organization. If you would like to know more information, please visit angelquilts.org.
THE CLYPIAN SCHOOL NEWSPAPER, SALEM, OREGON 2011-2013

I have been involved in the school newspaper since freshman year and I created a new position called the
Graphic Arts Editor. I held this position for three years and now I make logos for clubs including, newspaper, saxon talk radio, lime-time, a personalized Clypian logo, the Clypian sweatshirts, photography, and the sports auction at South Salem High School. I have been involved in Graphic Design since the sixth grade.

SAXON DAY, SALEM, OREGON SEPTEMBER 5, 2014


I was appointed to the position of Communications Director at South Salem High School for Saxon Day in 2014.
Saxon Day was a state wide holiday celebrated on September 5, 2014. The junior American Government class
sponsored a bill that was passed in the Legislature which created a state wide Saxon Day. It honors South
Salem High Schools many traditions and achievements including: South as a National Blue Ribbon School; and
the recognition of these specific groups: Music, Deca, Athletics, Academics, and Culinary. I spent over 100 hours
on this event coordinating all social media, the newspapers, the radio stations, the National Guard, notifying and
follow-up with dignitaries, and other officials for the days events.
QUILTING, SALEM, OREGON 2005-PRESENT

I have been quilting since the age of nine and have included a few pieces in my portfolio.

EDUCATION

I am an International Baccalaureate certificate candidate in both IB Biology HL II and IB English II.

VOLUNTEER
KEY CLUB, SALEM, OREGON 2012-PRESENT

I am an active volunteer at Key Club events including:


-The Gilbert House Childrens Museum
-The Breast Cancer Walk
-5k and 10k Runs
-Serving food in retirement homes
-Helping at local elementary school fairs
-Car Washes
KIDS QUILT CAMP, SALEM, OREGON 2010-PRESENT

I volunteer my quilting knowledge at the kids quilting camps in the summer time at Greenbaums Quilted Forest.
I volunteer around one hundred hours each summer. I love sharing my passion and my expertise with young
quilters.

AWARDS
OUTSTANDING SAXON AWARD, SALEM, OREGON 2014

I received this award from my English teacher at the end of my Junior year in recognition of my tireless work ethic, organization/preparation, and positive attitude.
