FROM YOUR PASTOR

Mike Northcutt - ebc@eastmont.org

When you love deeply, you do things you dont
normally do. Washing windows is not my favorite way
to spend a day off. But when the one I love prefers clean
windows, I gladly help. Why would God be born in a
stable and then give His life for us? He loves us deeply.
Thank you Lord for being Emanuel.

To reach those no one else is reaching, we
do things no one else is doing. Christmas Festival
drew over 700 people. They laughed, played, ate and
repeatedly heard the Christmas Story. Why do we work
so hard for people we hardly know? When you love
deeply, you do things you dont normally do. Thanks for
loving the lost. Did you hear 45 people asked Christ to
save them? Love deeply live differently.

A Country Christmas concert is a first for us.
Mike Atcheson and friends will sing songs of Christmas
with a Country music flavor. Remember we are reaching
those no one is reaching. Be sure to invite someone.

We will recognize three special people at our
Christmas Fellowship on December 20. Art & Kelly
Long have completed 25 years of ministry. Joseph
Hooper has been on staff for ten years. Skip Lowery
concludes two years as our Interim Worship Leader.
I hope you can be there to affirm these dedicated
servants.

I have invited Mr. and Mrs. Dan Robinson
to speak this Sunday. They are Southern Baptist
Missionaries that served in Thailand. Your financial
gift to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering enables over
4,500 missionaries to serve throughout the world.

On December 20, Brother Lance Maddox will
begin as our new Minister of Music and Worship. For
several weeks Lance has been working and planning
with Cliff and Skip. I cant say enough good things about
our entire music staff. Gayla Reaves and Karen Sears
have been superb. Cliff has been an anchor during this
transition and Skip has consistently guided us to honor
Christ. We are greatly blessed.

I believe with all my heart God is about to do
even greater things then ever at Eastmont. I am glad to
serve with you.

Christmas Festival Report

Thank you Eastmont for serving, coming,

giving, and inviting others for our 2015
Eastmont Christmas Festival. We had over
700 register at the doors, over 100 people
serving, and the gospel was shared in
numerous ways. Our children donated around 400 lbs of
food to Forest Park Ministry Center, 45 people (mostly
children) made decisions to follow Jesus with SOS, and the
children packed over 200 Christmas Shoeboxes, helping to
surpass our Eastmont goal of 750.
