progressive in outlay as one lesson follows onto the next. Starting with simple lessons on brush control and how to
use washes, Alwyn Crawshaw guides the beginner through the basic methods and techniques of painting in
watercolour, explaining each process and offering practical advice at every stage. Useful feature of this book are
the sections which explain what can go wrong with watercolour work. These consist of a number of different
