GATHERING AND GREETING

+OPENING MUSIC
LIGHTING OF THE ADVENT CANDLE
All: God of love, help us to share in Christs mission.
Send your Spirit upon us so we work with Christ to fulfill his mission to share
the good news, to help release the bonds of the captives to be agents of healing
and to work for justice for those who are oppressed.
Free us for joyful service as we offer Christs love to the world. Amen.
SUNG RESPONSE
Jesus, the Light of the World (v. 1)
See the bright and Morning Star, Jesus, the Light of the World!
He has risen in our hearts, Jesus, the Light of the World!
Walk in the light, beautiful light;
come where his love and his mercy are bright.
Shine all around us by day and by night, Jesus, the Light of the World.
