In the beginning when Sherlock is correcting the prisoner on his grammar. This
stood out to me because personally i hate bad grammar as well. Research: Sherlock's
obsession with intelligence.

 - Sherlock shooting the smiley face on the wall because he is simply bored. This
stood out to me because it is a careless action. Research: Sherlock's focus only on
himself and only himself.
- Sherlock and Watson are talking to Sherlock's brother and are both being
sarcastic with him. This shows similarities between Sherlock and Watson. Research:
Watson developing Sherlock's tendencies.
Sherlocks lack of emotion/empathy/sympathy for the victims of his cases

Tentative Topic Proposal: In 100-80 words, propose an area for research based on your topic

Example: Inevitability, over the 125 year period since Sherlocks creation by Sir Arthur Conan
Doyle, Sherlock has been recast in many different time periods and situations; however, one
critical piece of his character always remains the same--his uncanny aptitude for deduction and
assimilation of seemingly unimportant bits of knowledge. With each new iteration, we learn
more about how Sherlock can improve both on profiling and forensic techniques, thus providing
a model for real life implications in the solving of crime. More specifically, this paper explores

how fictional sleuth, Sherlock Holmes, has consistently influenced the ever-developing field of
forensics.
