Women do not have access to comprehensive sex education

and safe, affordable contraceptives

Reproductive choice can be the only thing that stands between
a woman and poverty.
Reproductive choice empowers women by giving them control
over their own bodies. The choice over when and whether to
have children is central to a woman's independence and ability
to determine her future.
Personhood begins after a fetus becomes "viable" (able to
survive outside the womb) or after birth, not at conception
According to a 2010 review by Britain's Royal College of
Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, "most neuroscientists believe
that the cortex is necessary for pain perception." The cortex
does not become functional until at least the 26th week of a
fetus' development,
Access to legal, professionally-performed abortions reduces
maternal injury and death caused by unsafe, illegal abortions.
Women who are denied abortions are more likely to become
unemployed, to be on public welfare, to be below the poverty
line, and to become victims of domestic violence.
Abortion reduces welfare costs to taxpayers.

Adoption still requires women to carry a baby to term and

then give birth, both of which are also inherently dangerous.

The unborn is an embryo or a fetus-just a simple blob of tissue, a product of conception-not a

baby.

Every woman should have control over her own body. Reproductive freedom is a basic right

t are financially and emotionally ready to receive them, to get preventive medical care
during childhoodand the kinds of loving engagement that helps young brains to develop.

There is no scientific consensus as to when human life begins. A fetus is not yet a
human being, in fact it is nothing but a blob of tissue with the potential of becoming a
human being. An embryo is extremely different from born human being in various
ways. The key difference is the fact that it resides inside her body. Personhood
begins after a fetus becomes "viable" (able to survive outside the womb) or after
birth, not at conception. I would also like to bring into discussion that the relaionship
between a woman and an embryo is similar to the parasitic relationship between a parasite
and the host. if the woman continues the pregnancy unwillingly, her rights and bodily integrity are
violated.

According to a 2010 review by Britain's Royal College of Obstetricians and

Gynaecologists, "most neuroscientists believe that the cortex is necessary for pain
perception." The cortex does not become functional until at least the 26th week of a
fetus' development whilst the abortion takes place before 12 weeks or, in extreme
cases before 16 weeks.
Lets take for example IVF (in vitro fertilization) when more eggs are fertilized in other
to produce a viable embryo which is later implanted into a womans uterus. Whilst the
other eggs are thrown away, only is chosen to complete the whole process evolution.
Whilst this could also be considered a subjective selection of the fetus, women are
not continuously harressed and blamed for their choice as they would be if they were
to decide to have an abortion.

Conclusion.

It is a matter of philosophic opinion or religious belief. Human life is a continuum---sperm and eggs
are also alive, and represent potential human beings, but virtually all sperm and eggs are wasted.

My argument

Reproductive choice empowers women and gives them the

fundament right to control their lives by giving them control
over their own bodies. The choice over when and whether to
have children is central to a woman's independence and ability
to determine her future. I allows both women and men to form
the families of their choosing, when they are financially and
emotionally prepared to welcome children into their lives. Once
a woman becomes a mother, her resources to education,
employment, and health care become severely limited. Women
who are denied abortions are more likely to become
unemployed, to be on public welfare, to be below the poverty
line, and to become victims of domestic violence.
