The Call To Worship
~ Psalm 95 ~
Leader: Oh come, let us sing to the
Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the
rock of our salvation! Let us come into
His presence with thanksgiving; let us
make a joyful noise to Him with songs
of praise! For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.
We have gathered to worship and enjoy
our gracious God!
Unison: Praise God from whom all
blessings flow!
Prayer Of Adoration
Songs Of Praise & Worship
Newborn King
All creation like a song
Waiting to be sung
All the world in darkness lay
Desp'rate for the dawn
Suddenly a voice
An angel choir proclaimed
The One who made the stars
Is born in Bethlehem
So let all the people sing
chorus
Blessing, honour, glory, power
To the newborn King
Songs of earth and songs of heaven
Join as one to bring
Blessing, honour, glory, power
To the newborn King
Let the nations hear the news
See what God has done
Heaven's gift of peace on earth
His own beloved Son
bridge
Angels gather 'round Your throne
All the saints and angels singing
They all bow down to You alone
Oh, all singing
(repeat chorus)
God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen
God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember Christ our Saviour
Was born on Christmas Day
To save us all from Satan's pow'r
When we were gone astray
chorus
O tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
In Bethlehem, in Jewry
This blessed babe was born
And laid within a manger
Upon this blessed morn
The which His mother Mary
Did nothing take in scorn
(repeat chorus)
From God, our heavenly Father
A blessed angel came
And unto certain shepherds
Brought tidings of the same
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name
(repeat chorus)
Fear not, then said the angel
Let nothing you affright
This day is born a Saviour
Of a pure virgin bright
To free all those who trust in Him
From Satan's pow'r and might
(repeat chorus)
At Your Name
Prayer of Confession
At Your name
The mountains shake and crumble
At Your name
The oceans roar and tumble
At Your name angels will bow
The earth will rejoice
Your people cry out
chorus
Lord of all the earth
We shout Your name
Shout Your name
Filling up the skies
With endless praise, endless praise
Yahweh, Yahweh
We love to shout Your name, oh Lord
At Your name
The morning breaks in glory
At Your name
Creation sings Your story
At Your name angels will bow
The earth will rejoice
Your people cry out
(repeat chorus)

There's no one like our God
We will sing

Unison: Oh Lord, have mercy upon us.
Spare those who confess their faults.
Restore those who are repentant,
according to Your promises declared to
the world in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
And grant, O merciful God, for His sake,
that we might live a holy, just, and
humble life to the glory of Your Holy
name. Amen.

~ Colossians 1:15-20 ~
Leader: Let us confess our faith
Unison: Jesus Christ is the image of the
invisible God, the firstborn of all
creation; For by Him all things were
created, in heaven and on earth, visible
and invisible, whether thrones or
dominions or rulers or authoritiesall
things were created through Him and
for Him.
And He is before all things, and in him
all things hold together. And He is the
head of the body, the church. He is the
beginning, the firstborn from the dead,
that in everything he might be
preeminent.
For in Him all the fullness of God was
pleased to dwell, and through Him to
reconcile to Himself all things whether
on earth or in heaven, making peace by
the blood of His cross.

Leader: Now may our Lord Jesus
Christ himself, and God our Father, who
loved us and gave us eternal comfort
and good hope through grace, comfort
your hearts and establish them in every
good work and word.
Advent is a special season in our church in which we anticipate and prepare for the
celebration of Christmas - that day on which we celebrate the truth that "The Word
became flesh and made His dwelling among us" (John 1:14). God has entered
human history through the incarnation of His Son, Jesus Christ.

December 20, 2015
This Advent season, we will focus on what the reality of human suffering, the
problem of evil, and the hope for a new world that the birth of Jesus gives.
The Benediction
This year, well continue our tradition of gathering on Christmas Eve for A
Celebration in Lessons & Carols. Make plans to attend and invite your friends. No
childcare available.
The purpose of this congregational meeting is to elect new elders. The members of
NCC have nominated candidates, and the pastoral team has sought to train and
prepare the nominees. At this time, the elder team of NCC are delighted to put
before the congregation Tom Dekker and Calvin Van Hill to be elected to the office
of elder. We believe these men meet the Scriptural qualifications for the office of
elder, mesh with the vision and values of NCC, and are ready, available, and willing
to take up the responsibilities of this office at this time. Therefore, we commend
them to you in this upcoming election. While the meeting is open to everyone, only
adult members of New City Church are eligible to vote. Please make plans to attend
this meeting after the service.
