AWARDS

The awards of Certificate shall be made to students who satisfy the following criteria:
(a) Has completed and passed all modules for the award.
(b) Has achieved a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) which is equal to
pass
(c) GPA shall be computed from grades earned by students using the NACTE guidelines
(d) Cumulative Grade Points of a Credit Module (Cum GPA):
(e) Refers to the summation of grade points of all credit modules divided by the total
number of credit hours taken by a student beginning from his admission till the last
examination held, that is;
(f)

Formula for computation of GPA:GPA =

Sum of ( P x N )
Sum of N

Where P represents a grade point assigned to letter grade scored by the student in a module
and N for the number of credit hours associated with the module. Its value shall be
computed and truncated to single decimal point.
