Jesus, The Living Word

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and
his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is
flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go
well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great You are and
how much I love You. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus name, Amen

John 1:14, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us...

Christmas is a time for giving because the very first Christmas was
the day when God gave His Son to the people on earth. Many people
like to give gifts that they make themselves. They may make their gift
just for one very special person. But Gods gift was for everyone who
would believe on His Son, Jesus, and the way Jesus would give His
own life on the cross. Before we can make something we have to find
stuff to make it out of, but God just said words and the things
He said from his mouth began to appear. God created everything this
way. The truth is He didnt do it alone. God the Father spoke the
words with His mouth and Jesus, God the Son, did the work of creating. Jesus did the wishes of His Father. In this way, God created all
things. As other people were born on the earth, God looked for men
who believed in Him and listened to Him.
Throughout history men of God wrote down what God said to
them. This became our Bible scriptures. Some of the scriptures told
about secret things that would happen in the future. These secrets
are called prophecies and they gave men hope that the days ahead
were going to be getting better. The prophecies were Gods own
words. One of those prophecies was a promise that God would send
someone to save His people on earth from the power sin had over
them. So the people of God waited and waited and then after
hundreds of years a savior was born just like God said. Jesus who was
known as The Word in heaven entered the earth as a baby. The Word
had become flesh and blood. Jesus did everything His Father said and
did. Just as God had plans for His Son, Jesus; God also has plans for
you. Jesus whole life was a promise to Gods people. Jesus obeyed
Gods plans and those plans made a way for you and me to become
children of God too. Jesus is Gods Christmas gift to us.
