28th January 2014 - The Union Ministry of Rural Development signed a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) with Digital Green to exchange the relevant livelihood practices among rural
communities under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM).
29th January 2014 - Six state-owned companies (PSUs) have come together to set up the worlds
largest single-location 4,000-MW ultra mega solar power project in Rajasthan.
30th January 2014 - India and Fiji signed a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) for
avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
4th February 2014 - India and Germany signed on an agreement for 1 billion for greenfield projects
during the visit of the German President.
14th February 2014 - India and Poland have agreed to expand co-operation in the restoration and
digitization of Film archives.
24th February 2014 - NTPC signed a MoU with Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited and
Lakhisarai Bijlee Company Private Limited (LBCPL) to develop a 1320 MW (2 X 660 MW) Thermal
Power Project at Kajra in Lakhisarai district of Bihar.
24th February 2014 - India and Canada have signed three MoUs for cooperation in health sector,
audio-visual co-production and skill development.
25th February 2014 - India and Azerbaijan propose to constitute a joint working group in the field of
hydrocarbon.
2nd April 2014 - Iran and Japan signed MoU on for bilateral cooperation on environmental issues at
Tokyo by Masoumeh Ebtekar of Iran who is Vice-President and Head of Department of Environment of
Iran government and Nobuteru Ishihara of Japan Head of International Cooperation Agency.This is
most anticipated MoU between these two countries.
22nd April 2014 - India and Bhutan signed an agreement for the development of joint hydropower
projects in a bid to further strengthen their bilateral strategic partnership.
26th April 2014 - State Bank of India (SBI) has signed an MoU with Enable India, a non-profit
organisation, to train persons with disabilities towards economic independence.
4th June 2014 - The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and Grant Thornton India LLP have signed a
memorandum of understanding to develop capacity of the Indian companies for effective
implementation of the CSR Rules laid down as per Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013.
9th June 2014 - A MoU signed on HIV preventive services to transport sector workers between Union
Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
(MoHFW).
25th June 2014 - The Union Cabinet approved an in principle memorandum of understanding (MoU)
between India and China for setting up industrial parks in the country.
8 July 2014 - The Union External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj and UK foreign secretary of state
William Hague decided to launch negotiations for civil nuclear cooperation.
10th July 2014 - Saudi-Indian joint committee on labour issues finalised the recruitment contract that
consist of several provisions to ensure the authenticity and implementation of the standard employment
contract.
