Use provided username to log in

Change from default email to your personal email. In case you have lost
your password, this email will be used to recover your pass.

View more: to expand the list and view other events/assignments
Click on : view the event/assignments in details e.g. due date
Showing: choose Assignments (to view all assignments only),or General
events (to view events for all classes only) or Course events (events
specifically created for a particular class only).
Calendar
Move back and forth through months using the .

View calendar entries for assigned work or events - presented in different
coloured dots.
Click on the coloured dots in calendar to view events in details.
MESSAGES
Inbox: to view past messages sent to you

New message: to send messages to Teachers or other Students
To send messages to Teachers/IELTS Coordinator: select School staff
and choose individual recipients or as a group
To send messages to other Students in class: select Students courses
and do the same
COURSE
There are 6 study components.

Listening Reading Writing Speaking: there are Video for Introduction
clips available for watching (Ss are highly recommended to watch).
Open Practice for exercises (click on ). There are more than 20 exercises
in for each skills.
Teacher Resources: extra test materials from your teacher (only available
if your Teacher upload them). In here, you can download the latest version
of User manual.
Review Results for Teacher-graded

assignments
Go to Gradebook in bar menu

Go to Practice in Writing or Speaking component
Change view to Assignment only
Click on Submitted to view your graded work with Teachers feedback and
score. It the work has been submitted but not scored by Teacher, no score
will be displayed.
Review Results For automatically-graded

exercises
Go to Gradebook in bar menu

Go to Practice in Listening Reading - Writing - Speaking Vocabulary
Grammar component
Change view to Practice only
Change to First attempt ( scores in the your first try) for better
measurement.
How to do a Teacher-graded Speaking

Assigment
Click on Arrow to see the deadline

Click on Open to enter the assignment
Click on the LIGHT for Hints

Press on Record for recording your voice. You will need a microphone
Press on PAUSE if you want to stop your recording temporarily or on STOP

if you have finished your recording.
Press PLAY BACK to listen to your voice recording again.
Press SAVE if you are half-finished or SUBMIT if you want to send to
Teacher for marking

How to do a Mid-term Test:

IELTS CLASS RULES WSE

Fundamental rules:
1. The Student needs to attend all 15 in-class modules (30 classes, 90 hours).
2. The Student needs to submit all teacher-graded homework assignments on MEL.
3. The Student needs to complete 2 mock tests and attempt at least 90% of the MEL exercises.
Rules for Practice exercises:
You are allowed to have up to 3 attempts to complete the exercises. After that,
answers will be revealed
There are hints and tips in each exercises to provide you better and practical
guidance for IELTS
You will receive feedback from MEL for each activity completed
You will see the score of your first attempt in Gradebook (% of correct answers)
Grade settings are as follow:
Grade A: 80% correction
Grade B: 65% correction
Grade C: 50% correction
Grade D: 35% correction
Grade E: 20% correction
Grade F: less than 20 % correction
Rules for Assignments:
Each Teacher-graded assignments will stay open for 4 weeks.

Failure to submit the assignments will result in 0% score being awarded. Students
need to contact your teacher for re-opening the assignments.
Assignments will be opened after the B class ( Practice class)
Only 1 submission per assignment
Rules for Mid-term test:
Takes place after the completion of week 7 of your course

Can choose to do Online ( through MEL) or on paper test
Book your testing format and testing time ( online or paper) through your teacher
There is timing as you do the test. You can quit the test and return to do later.

The timings are as follow:

+ Listening: 4 sections 10 each
+ Reading: 3 sessions 20 each
+ Writing: session 1: 20 and session 2: 40
+ Speaking: part 1: 5 part 2: 3 part 3: 5
Rules for Course-end test:
Takes place after the completion of week 14 of your course

Only available on paper test
Book your testing time and venue through your teacher.
