AboutUs:
RAND took birth as an afterthought of a few Architects, Engineers, Designers and Management
Experts, who were working in Construction Industry for 10 years. The variety of experience each
teammemberhad,madethemrealisethelacunaeofthecurrentpractisesintheIndustryandRAND
is a humble attempt to bridge them by providing solutions with ingenuity and aesthetics. This
venture was started in 2000, as a partnership firm, ACME Architectural Studio, with 2 members,
whichwasgrownto4by2002.Wefollowedanorganicgrowthtill2006,byestablishingourselvesin
theindustry.WebecameaPrivateLimitedCompanyintheyear2009,changingournametoRAND
Architectural&InfrastructuralConsultantsPvt.Ltd.Thediversitywehaveinourteamisourstrength
andwebelieveinteamwork.Wefollowthismultidisciplinaryapproachinrecruitingouremployees
by employ a diverse range of architectural, engineering, designing, planning and consultancy

Currentlywehavethefollowingprojectdivisions;MasterPlanning,ArchitecturalDesign,Structural
Design, Interior Design, Building Technology and Project Management, Turn Key Operations (for
selected projects). We are going to start our Building Construction and Infrastructural Division
shortly. The focus of the In house team is presently on providing efficient solutions in terms of
Master Planning, Architectural Design for Residential Complexes, Hospitals, Hospitality and

Apart from the regular employees, RAND also associates with a set of expert consultants in

MalabarInstituteofMedicalSciencesLtd(MIMS)EducationalCampusatKarad.MasterPlanningand
CompleteArchitecturaldesignforNilagiriArtsandScienceResidentialCollegejointlypromotedby
Career Development Foundation trust & SADHBAVANA School, architectural design of the Niligari
Institute of Medical Sciences, Tamil Nadu. We are also doing Projects for ULCCS Ltd, Aditya Birla

designedareawas4000sq.ftandtheprojectwascompletedinMarch2011.

4. DesignofDepartmentofExecutiveHealthCheckup:ExecutivehealthcheckupofMIMS
CalicutThe`designwastherenovationoftheexistingfacilitywithnewlookandfeelto
providesuperiorambiance.Theprojectscopeincludedcompleteinteriordesigningof6000
sq.ftspace.TheprojectwillbefunctionalbyAugust2011.

5. DesignofDepartmentofUrology:DesignoftheinteriorsofUrologyDepartmentatMIMS
HospitalCalicut.Thetotaldesignedareawas6000sq.ftandtheprojectwascompletedin
June2012.

6. DesignofDepartmentofNephrology(Dialysis@CICS,Calicut):Designoftheinteriorsof
Dialysis Unit at MIMS Hospital Calicut. The total designed area was 5000 sq.ft and the
projectwascompletedinMay2010.

7. DepartmentofDialysisAnnex@MIMSCalicut.:DesignoftheinteriorsofDialysisAnnex
at MIMS Hospital Calicut. The total designed area was 5500 sq.ft and the project was
completedinDec2011.

8. Design of Department of Radiology: The design

scope included complete renovation of the
Department of Radiology MIMS, Calicut. RAND
did the design of 8500 sq.ft of the department
andtheprojectisnearingcompletion.

8. Design of Department of Nuclear Medicine: The design scope included complete

renovationoftheNuclearMedicineDepartmentofMIMS,Calicut.RANDdidthedesignof
6000sq.ftofthedepartmentandtheprojectisnearingcompletion.

9. DesignofDepartmentofENT:DesignoftheinteriorsofENTDepartmentatMIMSHospital
Calicut.Thetotaldesignedareawas3000sq.ftandtheprojectisnearingcompletion.

Cardiology
Department MIMS, Kottakkal: The
design scope included the complete
designoftheCardiologyDepartment
of MIMS Hospital, Kottakkal. This
7500 sq.ft space was operational by

This master plan relies upon the successful coordination of a variety of planning frameworks
includingopenspaceandlandscape,accessandcirculation,andlandandbuildinguse.Collectively,
these frameworks provide the foundation for a unified and comprehensive master plan that
reinforcesthevaluesandgoalsoftheMIMSacademyandthecampuscommunity.
The total land area available for development is 33 acre. The amenities includes Commercial Hub
(5500sq.ft),DentalCollege(66000sq.ft),GirlsHostel(30000sq.ft),CollegeofAlliedHealthscience
& school of nursing (55000 sq.ft), College Of Pharmacy (36000 sq.ft), Administrative building with
Signature Tower (22000 sq.ft), IT Hub and Research Centre (13500 sq.ft ), Indoor Stadium (20000
sq.ft)

AstheempanelledarchitectsofULCyberPark&ULCCSLtd,wehaveundertakenvariousprojectsto
ITParks,ITbuildings&Interiors,MasterPlanning,totalconceptdevelopment(forSEZapproval)etc.
Wehavealsoplayedtheroleoflocalarchitectsforothernationalandinternationalconsultants,who
werealsoinvolvedwiththeULCyberParkproject.
Fortheparentgroup,ULCCSLtd.wearethetotaldesignconsultantsforthevariousprojectstaken
upbythem,onturnkeybasis.Afewofthecompletedprojectsareprovidedhere;

ULCyberParkQuickSpace
WearethelocaldesignconsultantsforULCyberPark.Wedesigned
the first IT building at ULCP, which is nearing completion. This
buildingisdesignedasafullyfurnishedplugandplayofficespace,
where in startups can directly occupy without investing anything
forinfrastructure.Wehavegivencompletearchitectural(including
services), interior designing and supervision services. The building
has 4 floors GF for amenities. The challenging aspects of the
designincludesspaceconstrains(duetopeculiarshape),proximity

toHTlines,highways.Wecouldachieveaseatingcapacityofover
150 workstations in building having a total plinth of less than
10,000sq.ft

We did the initial master
planning of the ULCP, which
was taken for SEZ approval.

Niligiri Institute of Medical Science (NIMS),

Tamilnadu
Design of Niligiri Institute of Medical Science
(NIMS), Tamilnadu is one of the prestigious
project of RAND. The design consultancy
includes Master Planning, Architectural
Design, Landscaping & Interior Designing.
Also, in liaison with specialised consultants,
we are delivering the support for other
services too. This project is envisaged as a
multidisciplinary medical facility centre,
where in various paradigms of medical care
areprovidedatoneplace,whichisoneofthe
keyhighlightsoftheproject. Thisit wasthe
biggestchallengefacedbyRANDinthedesign
stage. This project is at the conceptual stage
right now and we have developed the
conceptual designs and views of the various
amenitiesproposed.

ApolloOasis,Majeri

This
apartment complex is designed for Apollo BuildTec (India) Pvt.

Ltd.Thisproject,namedasApolloOasisiscomingupinManjeriand

has 16 floors with a total plinth area of over 10000 sq.ft. RAND is

proving
the complete architectural design, interiors and landscaping

consultancy for this project. Currently piling works for the same is

goingonandisexpectedtobefullyfunctioningbyJune2013.

DayapuramResidentialSchoolAlIslamTrust
This School complex is designed for Al Islam Charitable Trust. This project is coming up in their
existingcampusustotalplinthareaofover50000sq.ft.RANDisprovingtherevisedMasterplanning
ofthecampus,completearchitecturaldesignandlandscapingconsultancyforthisproject.

CollegeOfNiligiriArts&Science,Thaloor,Tamilnadu
Design of College of Niligiri Arts & Science, Thaloor, Tamilnadu a project of Career Development
Trustwasauniqueone,intermsofthedesignsupportimpartedbyRAND.Thedesignconsultancy
wasgivenatvariousphases.First,wedidthecompleteMasterplanningoftheentirecampus.The
attempt we made in building design is to break the monotony of the conventional educational
buildingdesignbybringinginthegreeneryinsidebuildings.Thiswasachievedbyprovidingatriums
insidethebuildingsandbyprovidingmaximumscenicviewsfromallgatheringspaces.Thisdesign
has also incorporated the site conditions as well. The total campus area is 21 acre and the total
designed area includes 40,000 sq.ft of academic block, 20,000 sq.ft boys hostel; 20,000 sq.ft girls
hostel and 500 capacity auditorium. The site is under construction. We are also doing the interior
designingofthevariousbuildings.
