FOREWORD
The Department of Chemical Engineering was established in 1962 at University
of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and is the first one to institute
Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degree courses in Chemical Engineering in
the country. The curriculum for Bachelors degree course has been evolved
over a number of years and revised recently on the recommendations of HEC
and PEC. The current curriculum was formulated by The Board of Studies and
was subsequently approved by The Board of Faculty and Academic Council on
30.06.2011. It is in accordance with the HEC standards and guidelines formed
in the national committee.
In this meeting, approval regarding the
implementation of new subject courses for Postgraduate Studies in Chemical
Engineering was also granted.
In addition to above, on the recommendations of the Board of Faculty of
Chemical, Mineral & Metallurgical Engineering, the Academic Council has
also approved Specialization Elective Subject for Masters degree in Chemical
Engineering.
Therefore, revised scheme of studies and the detailed course contents of
Chemical Engineering Curriculum have been compiled in the following
document for future reference.
