The Latitude 100L platform introduces a new sub-brand to the Latitude line of products;
the L series. The Latitude L series of products are designed for small to mid-sized businesses that
are focused on acquisition price. The L series is targeted at companies that require a reliable,
managed PC, but are willing to trade some of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) features and
benefits provided by the Latitude D-Family notebooks, such as long life cycles, managed transitions,
and peripheral commonality to obtain an aggressive acquisition price.
Proven Technology
The 100L features the Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 or Intel Celeron® processor, the Intel 852GMV chipset
and embedded graphics utilizing the Intel Extreme® Graphics solution. It also features up to 1024 MB
of shared4 system memory, ATA-100 hard disk drives and USB 2.0 support. The 100L is available with
a number of different operating systems and productivity suites. These proven technologies provide
business users with the relevant technology they need, at a price they can afford.
Dell Wired and Wireless Communications Solutions
Every Dell Latitude 100L notebook features a 56K1 V.92 capable modem and 10/100 wired network
card as part of the standard offering. The 100L offers an option of the Dell Wireless 1350 802.11b/g
or Dell Wireless 1450 802.11a/b/g wireless MiniPCI cards.
