INTRODUCTION
Who Should Use This Directory
The ADAF Directory of Resources for International Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics Professionals is designed for
use by practitioners, graduates with baccalaureate (or equivalent), or graduate degrees in nutrition
(biomedical), food, dietetics, public health, agriculture, foodservice management, food science, food
science technology, and related areas. Individuals pursuing a professional degree may use this
directory, or professionals who are seeking continuing education, training or work experience
nationally or internationally. Contact information and general guidelines for numerous organizations
that offer financial assistance for studies in the United States and other countries are provided.
How to Use the Directory
The ADAF Directory of Resources for International Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics Professionals was created to
simplify the process of seeking financial assistance for international students and professionals by
organizing food, nutrition, dietetics and other related resources and contact information in one
source. This Directory is divided into six sections. The first section lists those organizations that
provide resources to American students and professionals. The second section lists the organizations
that provide financial assistance to individuals of any nationality studying or gaining practice
experience in the US and in other countries. The third section lists resources available to nationals of
specific (non-US) countries for studying in their home country and/or abroad. The fourth section
lists other resources that are useful when searching for financial assistance or work experience
abroad, such as international education organizations, literature, and websites. The fifth section lists
networking groups associated with the ADA and the sixth section lists international nutrition and
dietetic associations as a source of contact for nationals of specific countries. The goal of this project
has been to provide information as complete and accurate as possible about the organizations and
agencies listed in this Directory. Where applicable, we have provided the address, telephone and/or
fax number, and website of the organizations or agency, the contact person, areas of study, the
number and size of awards, eligibility requirements and deadlines.

INTRODUCTION
Please note that The ADAF Directory of Resources for International Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics Professionals
is not an exhaustive listing because the database is very extensive and ever changing. We, therefore,
encourage nutrition students and professionals who are seeking financial assistance to explore other
directories and other possible avenues to assist with funding opportunities. To conduct a search a
variety of keywords would be helpful they include; nutrition, food and dietetics. Additional
resources may be found under agriculture, agricultural science, human and health sciences,
family and consumer sciences, biomedical nutrition, public health, community nutrition. We
encourage any and all readers to give us feedback about the ADAF Directory of Resources for International
Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics Professionals.
Should you discover scholarships, fellowships, grants and/or awards that may be suitable for this
directory during your research for funding, we would be grateful for your contribution toward our
efforts in maintaining the most current information. It is anticipated that additional opportunities
exist or will become available before the Directory is revised. Appendix A includes a form that
should be used to send any new information to the ADA Foundation, attention Scholarships and
Awards Manager. Any new funding opportunities (Scholarships/fellowships/grants/stipends) will
be printed in the next revision of the ADAF Directory of Resources for International Food, Nutrition, and
Dietetics Professionals. The quality, effectiveness and resourcefulness of this Directory will be preserved
with your help.

Information and feedback may be sent to:
