Invitation
4th annual Birds of the Brush contest
2016 Laredo Birding Festival
Dear Artist, Teacher, or Student:
Due to the tremendous success of last years 3rd annual bird art contest we received hundreds of
submissions!we once again invite you to participate in our 4th annual Birds of the Brush Laredo
art contest.
The art contest will coincide with the 2016 Laredo Birding Festival. It is designed to showcase how
our vibrant Rio Grande eco-system attracts hundreds of species of dazzling birds, some of which
migrate from as far away as Canada and the Central American tropics!
The 2016 Laredo Birding Festival is a young venture for our environmental nonprofit organization
(RGISC), and we partner closely with the City of Laredos Convention and Visitors Bureau, local
Monte Mucho Audubon Society, and talented Laredo artists.
The Laredo Center for the Arts will graciously host the exhibit opening and announcement of winners
on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 (6 pm to 9 pm.) at 500 San Agustin Ave. We hope that you will join us
in this fun and unique community project.
For more information, contact us at (956) 718-1063 or by email at alberto@rgisc.org. You can also
visit us and obtain more information about the Laredo Birding Festival at
www.laredobirdingfestival.com.
Sincerely yours,
Alberto Sandoval
