Breakout Session Descriptions

How to Find the Mixtecos Around You-Jeff Dunson, International Mission Board You know there are
Mixtec in your area, but where do they live? Where do they work? How do you find out? If you don't know how to
find them, they can't be reached. Come to this session for practical ideas on how to get started on finding the Mixtec
that God has brought to you.

Partnerships and Networking-Lisa Rose, Montgomery Baptist Association As you begin to minister
and find this people group, who should you come alongside as you reach this people group? One cant do this alone.
You need prayer partners, church partners and community partners all around you as you continue this outreach.

Immigration Issues as a Gospel Platform-Alan Cross The nations are on the move. Up to 60 million
refugees are currently displaced around the world. Migration is becoming a 21st century global reality. What is God
doing in all of this? How will the church respond? Might the opportunity for global transformation through the
fulfillment of the Great Commission be afore us? We will explore these issues through looking at Pauls encounter
on Mars Hill in Athens found in Acts 17.

Teaching English as a Second Language-Connie Rodgers, International Mission Board This session
will be a time to dialog about methods, teaching tips, and ideas for evangelistic outreach using ESL. English class is a great way
to establish relationships, provide help with physical and spiritual needs, and to network for the benefit of newcomers to the U.S.

Using Scripture in Discipleship of New Mixtec Believers-Lloyd Rodgers, International Mission

Board The decisions we make about how to use Scripture in the discipleship of new believers has profound impact on their
spiritual walk. What is the role of heart language? What are the best translations to use? What is the impact of literacy? What is
the role of Bible storying?

Living Among the Mixtec People-Hallay Cagle, Every Tribe Ministry Hallay will share her experience
in living among this people group at an apartment complex here in Montgomery. She intentionally moved into the
neighborhood and ministered for 3 years. Many good relationships were built because of living among them.
