The name of the Societyshall be "MAULANA AZAD EDUCATION FOUNDATION'.
DEFINITION
In these presents unless there be some thing in the subiect or context inconsistent
therewith:
"Foundation" meansthe Maulana Azad EducationFoundation.
" Act" meansthe SocietiesRegistration Act, 1860.
"Office" meansthe registeredoffice for the time being of the Foundation.
"Month" means calendar month.
" Member" means member of the Foundation a

ADMISSION AND OUALIFICATION OF MEMBERS


The President of the Foundation will nominate 9 members for a period of 3 years from
the educationally backward minorities from different regions, including educationists,
scientists,engineers,administrators,doctors,lawyers, writers, industrialists and social
workers, who can devote time for promoting the cause of education, giving._proper
representationto women. These members will be eligible for re-nomination. Every
personshall, on becominga member of the Foundation,sign the roll of membersof the
Foundationto be kept in bound register.

3.

CESSATIONOF MEMBERSHIP
The President may, at any time in consultation with the Vice-Presidentby notice in
writing, require a member including an office bearer to withdraw from the Foundation
and the person so required to withdraw shall not later than one month from such
notice being given, ceaseto be a member.

Any vacancy/ vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as the election of the

INCLUDING OFFICE BEARERS.
The members of the Goveming Body shall hold office for 3 years and shall be eligible
for re-election.Even after the expiry of their term, the members-shall continue to hold
office till their duly electedsuccessors
are in position.

for the purpose of carrying out the obiectsof the Foundation.

Subject to the provisions of the Memorandum of Association and these Rules and
Regulations,the Governing Body shall, in addition to other powers vested in it, have

VIII. TREASURER
The Foundationshalt electTreasurerfrom amongstthe membersof the
GeneralBody.

property and investmeuts of the Foundation and present the annual accounts and

budget statement.

He/She shall arrange for the proper custody of all movable and immovable property,
moneys,securitiesand investmentof the Foundation.
