Bladesinger

It is uttered in some of the most ancient texts of elven warriors who would
bend entire armies with one stroke of their blade, the bladesinger is believed
to have descended from these great warriors. Traveling alone from continent
to continent the bladesinger would go, using each battle as a lesson to better
himself, and testing himself to
the very limits of his body and
mind. Living only to constantly
challenge himself in pursuit of
mastery, such is the life of a
Bladesinger. Every Bladesinger
takes the original style of
fighting and transforms it into
something all his own.
Bladesingers are almost
extinct, in the sense that
learning the style of Blade Singing is so strenuous that very few are able
to handle the amount of stress it exerts on both the body and mind.
A bladesingers power comes from years and years of strenuous
training, they create music from the wind around them and the blades in
their hands. A bladesinger lives for battle and has the philosophy that life is a
constant battle with oneself and is only won once they have mastered their
blade their body and their mind.

Adventures
A Bladesinger sees an adventure only as a way to practice his craft, and push
himself to the limit. The bladesinger will use an adventure as a way to throw
himself into combat. There's nothing that a bladesinger relishes in more than
the feel of combat. He sees a battle as a milestone of how he has improved
his style.

Characteristics
A bladesinger has spent his whole life training, turning his body into a
weapon to be used when he so desires. The Bladesinger will move about the
battlefield decimating all that stands in his way. The bladesinger will stand
out in most situations because he will have his weapons handy like a normal
fighter, but bares no armor. Most Bladesingers however few they may be
wear peasants clothing, some however will wear robes to conceal their
identity and weapons.
A bladesinger dislikes the idea of magical weapons and enchanted gear, he
believes that he can fall back on pure skill alone to best any situation, and if
he cannot he will better himself, however the bladesinger understands the
necessity of them and uses will use them.
Bladesingers will constantly be looked at in public as nothing more than a
sellsword until of course they unveil their mystical style.

Alignment
Bladesingers are master swordsmen, they are guided only by the need to
gain mastery of their blade. Bladesingers care little about the squabbles of
others, and have no respect for lords or laws and as a result can not be
anything over neutral. (Neutral Good, Neutral Evil, True Neutral)

Religion
Most blade singers do not bend their knee to any deity, they respect those
who have ascended into being a god through skill, faith, or skill. But being
elves worship of Corellon Larethian. Other gods that are revered by these
warriors are Kord, Saint Cuthbert, and Celestian to name afew.

Background
Bladesingers begin life and are soon taken in by a master, who then trains
them from childhood all the way until the Master sends them out or the

bladesinger sets out by his own will. Bladesingers will then become travelers
or hermits to train and perfect their style.

Races
The only race that can be a bladesinger is the elf. They are the only race that
can live long enough and handle the physical and mental strain required by
the training. Elves are also a race of people that do not associate commonly
with other races.

Other Classes
Bladesingers do not associate with most other classes other than the monk.
They can relate to the monks need to constantly strive to be better, however
a Monk and a bladesinger would constantly challenge one another.
Bladesingers also relate to a Rangers sense of solitude. Paladins look at their
arrogance towards the gods to be unsettling, barbarians look at the
bladesingers style as pathetic as very little of it is based on their brute
strength mentality. Bards look upon the bladesingers style as whimsical, and
could often play along to the bladesingers song. Fighters look at bladesingers
as unnatural some looking at them at first sight of combat.
