UPDATING DATABASE before Prediction:

To ADD new Sites in Your Previous Database (first Excel XML -- then into ASSET DB)

Go to Previous folder (last used), here you will find last used database (excel) like South On-air till date.
You must have new updated sites database (complete).
Compare current sites with previous sites.
If any new site is added, you have to add in DB.
For addition you will find an excel sheet named South On-Air Additional sites. (it will generate XML)
Enter new sites in that sheet and press the button (GENERATE XML). Fig1.
It will ask you destination folder. Give path of your current working folder.

P.S:: You may exclude indoor micros, only outdoor coverage required.

To ADD XML files into ASSET DB

Open ASSET (AIRCOM Enterprise Suit)

Enter User ID (Administrator) Password (admin)
Select user or Account specified Select account specified.
In start project option select PTA OCT 2013 (Here you can use previous DB or start new project)
Now Go to FILEImportXML
Window will open give path to your XML files.
Check option select all & merge click Import Fig2
You will get XML Import complete Window. Fig3

How to make filter for prediction:

1) Make filters folder in your current working folder
2) Here you have to make a Text files containing all site IDs (non- numeric like without S-) of desired prediction
region.Fig4
3) For coverage prediction you may exclude indoor micros only outdoor sites.
4) Now go back to ASSET.
5) DATEBASEFiltersUserAdministratorright click -- New FolderGive name CLOSE
6) Now go to DATABASESelection expert Here you will see Four TABS Fig 5
7) Go to file list
8) Element Type :: All type
9) File name: give path of your notepad (the Text file) and check Include child sites
10) FILTERS Selection
11) Click ADD (System will take 5,6 sec)
12) Dont close
13) Now click File and Save as user-admin and your folder which you made earlier. Give any name to your newly made
filter save and close now.

To ADD Propagation Model, Resolution and Radius on newly added sites:

1) DATABASE Sites Selection Select all

2) Here you have to search newly added cells/Sites manually and fill propagation Model, Resolution, Radius.
Propagation models:
You may see other sites of that region to see propagation models, However, H_900_URB_LHR is used for metro cities and
H_900_Rural for remote cities and H_900_Urban for normal urban cities (Fig6)

GENERATING PREDICTION:

Click New 2D View icon EARTH Type symbol (Fig7)

Window will open (fig8)
Click Create new vector icon or Select for PTA from drop down. (Site fans will appear).
Then click Create array NON SIM / GSM (Fig8)
All filter in view / Selected Filter
Select your filter which you have made.
Set ARRAY resolution as required :: 100m usually (fig9)
Sites Within as required :: 30Km usually (fig9)
Check Best Server on right side.(fig9)
Click ok Prediction will run and it might take some time to complete (Green Bar).
Nothing will be seen after this step : dont worry, Just follow remaining steps for Coverage graphic view (fig10)

FOR COVERAGE GRAPHIC VIEW

Click KEY LEGEND icon (Fig8)

Go in Data Types on right side
Filters Filter from drops down User administrator Your filter. Check this.
Coverage Best Server ( Fig11)
Apply.
It will show coverage prediction in colors
You can uncheck Filters and apply it will show prediction minus Sites view
Now you may set Legends of your own.

For Altering RANGES & COLOR Settings:

1) Configuration TabGSM Coverage Scheme You may add new color legends or previous defined colors (fig12)
2) Click Configuration Tab Layers Cell Layers coverage thresholds (fig13)
3) Set required ranges and their color.

Now Go back to opened window of 2D view on right side.

1) Right Click BEST SERVER Properties (Fig11)
Set best server display properties Like set legends of required colors against legends
After Setting that
Click OK and then Redraw.

For Statistics:
1) Right Click BEST SERVER Statistics (Fig14)
Set Low (dBm) and High dBm values ::: Usuall -80 / -85
Click Generate
It will generate Statistics in Excel form save as into your folder by statistics

To Save Prediction for future use

1) Click Array Array Manager Save (Fig 7)
And save into your current folder

MAPINFO EXPORTS
1) In Opened 2D view click file GIS Exports New window will open (fig15)
Check all those in below picture.
Split into 64 and UTM 42 Northern hemisphere.
2) Select output directory and destination to your working folder and give any name
3) Click ok
4) It will generate MapInfo Compatible Exports (Tab files x 64)

Open those Exports in MapInfo
