The road section is very
narrow due to heavy
bushes . A lot of sharp
corners that can cause
head-on collision.
The existing drift has
failed because of over
topping and seepage of
water under the drift.
A lot of sag and crests
curves along the vertical
profile of the road.
This has created
catchment areas
especially on the sag
areas of the road.
Stagnant water along the
carriageway and also the
side drains creates
breeding grounds for
mosquitoes.
The road has alot of
depression points that
form catchment areas
and ponds.
The existing drift has
structurally failed and
has now created a new
outlet channel for the
stream.
The section is completely
impassable during heavy
rains due to the high
velocity of the running
water.
The main road has
approximately 2km
section that is in poor
condition. Alot of
potholes and rutting can
be seen.
